I know this will be very much controversial and I'm truly sorry for this but what if there is a character that can kill tier 0 but for some reason it does negate the fact that the one that is killed is not tier 0

let's say like this :

in the fictional verse, a character A has successfully permanently killed character B even if the character B is tier 0

people have debunked the character B as high 1A or lower and now the character B is getting downgraded

but before there was powerscaling or debunks of the character B, the author of this fictional verse just made a fully detailed logical groundbreaking lore/feats that Ultimately and Undeniably proves that the character B is actually in fact a literal Tier 0, and inevitably disproves the debunks people have made, EVEN if the character B is officially permanently killed

now mind you, the author of this fictional verse doesn't know anything about powerscaling at all, he just made his own fictional verse alongside with making lore and stuff that are massively logical, the author did this for fun with the addition of making everything common sense, no vague, no exceptions and no bullshit, and somehow his fictional verse turns out to be great and deserved lots of attractions for how amazing it is

wouldn't that defeats the purpose of "if the tier 0 is killed, he is not considered tier 0" kind of term?

Why are you expecting an argument to be made or be undebunkable when its a very clear category mistake. Whoever this author is they have insane logic manipulation.

I really don't see how that's even possible unless Character A and Character B are just ultimately two "aspects" of the same being so really they're the same character and the killing in question is a metaphorical one, not a literal murder.

Yes, if you predefined character B as being "undeniably tier 0 no matter what" and then have character A kill them, that would be an issue with the tiering system.

...But actually in reality that's an issue with you, because what you defined makes no sense. That Character B can get killed at all disqualifies them for tier 0 pretty definitionally. Doesn't matter how unintentionally brilliantly the author preemptively debunks the debunks, they can't do anything about to debunk the whole "and then they totally got killed" part.
