in my humble opinion the princess should take it.

her greater combat experience should give her a great advantage, taking into account that she spent 10 years fighting in disadvantages with opponents superior to her, her barrier can withstand large amounts of damage from invaders, including for a brief moment the super invaders, which can easily overcome the knight, and taking into account that she should have a minimum of 300 gems, she could revive long enough to defeat her opponent.
