""It’s a constant theme in the verse that there are devils so metaphysical they exist inside and outside paneling and can mess with the panels themselves
The curse devil exists outside of the panel and flicks things so that they move while the manga itself is stationary.

And the darkness devil can literally change the shape and make up of panels. Being able to put shit in them that either doesn’t fit, or literally change the aspects the panels themselves
The darkness devil specifically fits, Random sounds or visuals in the panel such as screaming, frogs or bells""

this is something that a dude said. Is it even true? Like, can they really manipulate actual manga panels like that? I dont see that on darkness devil's profile either, so I was wondering if this was like, missed out, or if its just blatantly wrong.

I think it's more of a cool way to present a scene in a stylish and abstract way than something that's actually going on in the story, at least as far as we know right now. I suppose you could interpret it as 4th Wall Awareness though I don't think there's that much evidence for it.

I see. Hmm, the guy who said all of this, said that it could be used as a dura neg strangely enough 🧐
