Change the Player's lifting strength.

The heaviest item in Minecraft is the Notch Apple.

These are made by crafting 8 blocks of gold and an apple. 1 block in Minecraft = 1 cubic meter.

1 cubic meter of gold (real-world) = ~42,000 pounds.

42,000 x 9 = 378000 pounds

So one Notch apple is equal to roughly 378000 pounds, plus a negligible amount for the apple itself.

There's a type of chest in Minecraft called the Shulker Box.

It's just like a normal chest, but with one important difference. If you destroy it with items inside, it retains the items for when you place it down again.

Notch apples can stack up to 64. A shulker box can fit 27 stacks.

378000 pounds x 64 = 24192000 pounds

24192000 pounds x 27 = 653184000 pounds

So one shulker box could fit 653184000 pounds worth of apples inside. But Steve has an inventory and a hotbar, comprising of a total of 36 slots, plus a left hand.

(653184000 x 37)/2.2 = 24167808000/2.2 pounds = 10965430127kg, which falls under class G lifting strength.

Eh... this has been rejected a few times before.

Notch apples aren't craftable anymore iirc. Even then, them being crafted with 8 golden blocks and an apple seems to be game mechanics due to their rarity.

There's also no proof that the items inside a shulker box contribute to the weight, rather than being some sort of dimensional storage.

Notch Apples are still craftable in the Legacy Console editions of Minecraft (Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, etc.).

Even if we assume that Notch Apples and shulker boxes don't have increased mass and that the inventory is an extradimensional space, the Player can still wield gold blocks in both hands thanks to the dual wielding mechanic introduced in Java Edition 1.9. This increases the player's lifting strength without inventories or stacking from just 19320 kg (one cubic meter of gold) to 38640 kg (double that), which would firmly place them within Class 50.

If we include stacks, meaning that the player would have the potential to swing around 64 blocks at once, plus 64 more in the other hand, then that amount would be increased to 2472960 kg. This amount is above 10^6 kg, so this means that the Player would then be in Class M.

Either way, Class 25 is a massive understatement of the Player's lifting strength. It should be changed to Class 50 to Class M at the very least.

I can agree with Class 50 at the very least.

Also, Steve can do this and can jump + run around without any additional strain while holding two gold blocks and full golden armour, so 'At least Class 50' would make the most sense.
