Welp since the stream just came out with all the news regarding the series I guess now is a better time than ever to make this discussion thread.

DanMachi Season 4 will be 22 episodes long and will be split cour plus adapting Volumes 12-15 (I think).

DanMachi Volume 18 will be released in Winter.

DanMemo 3rd Anniversary “Astrea Record“ will be getting a three volume novelization that will be releasing once a month from October 2022 to December 2022. We might be getting the character page for Zard and Alfia in the novelization. It’s a canon event btw. Takes place 7 years before the series began during the Dark Ages of Orario. Oh right also the novelization will be longer than the original event and also have an extra short story.

DanMemo 5th Anniversary will be called ”Knights of Fiana” and it will take place 10 years after 2nd Anniversary “Argonaut“ and it follows Fiana. The prum that Finn has been trying to become and is now trying to surpass after the events of the Xenos Arc. So yeah it’s gonna be a canon event from the looks of it.

Sword Oratoria Volume 13 is currently being written or has already been finished not entirely sure which since there’s different translations regarding the matter.

According to Omori, next year will be the year of Lefiya so expect lots of Lefiya content in 2023.

I barely got to see the first season to move on, and now I find out that it even has a novel, LOL. I liked the anime and Bell Cranel as MC.

Is the novel recommended?

Hell yeah you should. Also remember to read the side story Sword Oratoria and Familia Chronicle as well. The anime skipped like 70% of the contents from Volume 1-5. Seriously do not watch the Sword Oratoria anime it is horrible. The story follows the Loki Familia and if I’m being honest the later volumes are honestly even better than the main series some times. We get more characterization on Aiz and how she feels about Bell in the side story.

If you don’t want to read the light novel for Sword Oratoria I recommend reading the manga since it’s almost universally agreed that the Sword Oratoria manga is even better than the light novel even if it leaves out some details.

Oh right also remember to watch the anniversary events from the mobile game DanMachi Memoria Freese.

1st anniversary “Grand Day” is non-canon but the lore we get from this event regarding the Zeus and Hera Familia, the only other level 7 left in the world, and the Three Great Quest (Behemoth, Leviathan, One Eyed Black Dragon) which are among the final goals of the series is canon.

2nd anniversary “Argonaut” is canon and is also known as DanMachi Episode 0. It takes place thousands of years before the gods descended and follows Argonaut who we have heard bits and pieces about throughout the series. But this event is the true story of Argonaut and how he caught the gods attention which lead to them paying attention to Genkai and descending from Tenkai thousands of years later. Most characters in this event are the ancestors or past life of present day characters in DanMachi.

3rd anniversary “Astrea Record” is canon and takes place 7 years before the start of the series and focus’s on Ryu’s Familia and what happened during the Dark Age. Here we are introduced to two executives of the Zeus and Hera Familia who are also among the strongest character to have been introduced in the series so far. One of which is related to a certain someone we know.

4th anniversary “Aedes Vesta” is non-canon and is a sequel to the Arrow of Orion movie. Though the info given in this event are once again canon. Yeah the author Omori loves to reveal canon info in a gacha game. This event shows what is the possible endgame powers of the members of Hestia Familia.

5th anniversary “Knights of Fianna” is canon and is set 10 years after Argonaut. So far we don’t really have any info about it other than the fact that it will reveal more lore about the world of DanMachi. And just like Argonaut the characters shown here are past life or ancestors of present day characters.

Also even outside of the anniversary even the normal events and crossover events have canon info in them. Like in the latest Date a Live crossover event they revealed the design of Nidhogg a legendary monster that was mentioned in Sword Oratoria as a monster that is on par with the monsters of the Three Great Quest. So yeah fun.

Haven’t posted here in a long time but anyways I think I’m gonna start my reread through the series tomorrow if I manage to finish up the CRT for another series by tomorrow. Here’s the order that I am gonna be following in case anybody wants to reread all the canon stuff in chronological order like I am. Starting it now. Gonna try and list all the info that could be important for the AP, speed, and scaling of characters if we ever make more profiles. Also since each DanMemo event is like multiple novels in one I'm also gonna split them into parts.

DanMemo 2nd Anniversary “Argonaut”

Part 1: The Clown March Tale

This event takes place thousands of years (At least 2000 years) before the start of the series. And the cast are all past lives or ancestors of present day characters.

DanMemo 2nd Anniversary “Argonaut”

Part 2: The Fate of Hero Tale

Argonaut states that Crozzo's fire is even stronger than Fina's fire magic
(Section 1: The Curtain Rises Again)

Argonaut makes a contract with a spirit of thunder Jupiter (Roman name of Zeus) it's implied that this spirit is related to Zeus with him saying he's among the strongest of spirits being the Great Spirit and all that. I think it was mentioned at one point in series that the spirits are like parts of the gods.

But anyways by making a contract he gains power comparable to falna and becomes a superhuman. Jupiter becomes the Radiant Sword of Thunder.

After gaining the blessing of Jupiter and the Radiant Sword of Thunder, Argonaut becomes strong enough to one shot the soldiers that were chasing him.

Since Argonaut gained a contract with a Great Spirit he should also be far superior to Crozzo. It's further supported by the fact that unlike Urus, Jupiter turned himself into the Radiant Sword of Thunder which also granted Argonaut immense power.

Crozzo can match Elmina physically even without using the fire of the spirit

Galmus also says Crozzo was evenly matched with Elmina

Orna states that General Minos is still stronger than Argonaut even with the blessing of Jupiter due to it having grown stronger by feasting on both humans and monsters. Its current strength is far above that of a normal minotaur and surpasses even that of a dragon. And from what I recall I think there was a statement that said dragons from ancient times are on par with Gareth in Sword Oratoria. So Minos of Argonaut is likely equivalent to a lvl 7 just like Asterius. Though I could just be misremembering the details. Gonna need to reread Sword Oratoria to make sure.

Argonaut receives the Flaming Sword from Crozzo and states that it may be even more powerful than his Radiant Sword of Thunder after wiping out an army of monsters in one blow.

Yuri and Galmus face off against four giant monsters two of which are dragons and one is a wyvern. According to Galmus the ground cracks just from the monsters taking a step and they are hurt by the impacts from the monsters moving. And a single fireball from the dragons can destroy the labyrinth walls. Both Galmus and Yuri survived being hit by these fireballs.

Yuri easily takes on the monsters after entering his beast form. Galmus also defeats a dragon after using the dragon slayer.

Argonaut with the Radiant Sword couldn't hurt Minos at all and was injured really badly with one attack.

Back from vacation and it seems like I accidentally deleted the draft of the Sword Oratoria SS info that was halfway done. Well crap gonna have to rewrite that real quick.

Sword Oratoria Season 1 Blu-ray SS

A 14 year old Finn is capable of defeating monsters on the surface even before gaining falna due to having trained himself to his limit without falna

Even monsters on the surface which are weaker than the ones fought in the dungeons are capable of breaking down the outer wall of Preblica Village.

Finn is capable of easily defeating dozens of monsters on the surface after gaining falna. Monsters he defeated include things like a Goblins, Battle Boars, Silverbacks, and etc. He states that the rumors about falna making even a child capable of defeating monsters is in fact correct based on the power he gained from it. So falna can make even 10-Cs become 9-C. All new lvl 1s are at least 9-C which fits with how Jupiter states that falna can make people superhuman in Argonaut.

Finn convinces the people in the village to fight back against the monsters basically Social Influencing.

The forest is covered by so many trees that barely any sunlight and moonlight is able to shine through the forest. But Riveria's magic blew a hole through the forest and finally allowed them to shine through. And as previously stated the groves in the forest are all over 50 meters tall. This is like what an 8-B or 8-A feat at minimum right?

The Dungeon is one of the Three Great Mysteries of the world and is located at the end of the continent. It is known as the "Unknown" among the three mysteries and the reason why Orario is known as the "Center of the world."

Gareth is so powerful that even without falna he could overpower both Riveria and Finn whom are lvl 1

A surface Worm Well (Lambton) is able to overpower and heavily injure Gareth with a single blow. Worm Wells are also a lvl 4 monster in the dungeon. So yeah surface monsters are way weaker than the ones in the dungeon.

Riveria's Rea Laevateinn was able to injure the surface Worm Well but it wasn't killed by it

Gareth says he will join the Loki Familia after they defeat him. And we know he joined so lvl 1 Finn probably managed to defeat falnaless Gareth eventually.

So yeah seems like we got lots of scaling that could be used here. Riveria's Rea Laevateinn didn't kill the surface Worm Well which is weaker than the ones from the dungeon which are lvl 4. Rea Laevateinn is more powerful than Wynn Fimbulvetr which has a potential tier 8 feat. And Finn is also capable of fighting surface Worm Well even at lvl 1. The fight was skipped but I feel like we should assume this was done with Hell Finnegas since Gareth who is as strong as Base lvl 1 Finn was much weaker than the Worm Well. So lvl 2 and higher adventurers can likely downscale from lvl 1 Riveria's Wynn Fimbulvetr which is potentially tier 8.

For now I guess the ones from the ones I read so far that are usable for the scaling would be Lvl 1 Riveria’s Wynn Fimbulvetr. It’s basically a icy blast that destroyed tree groves over 50 meters tall and turned the nearby surrounding into an icy tundra. This would likely scale to lvl 2 adventurers since the surface Lambton that the Loki Trio defeated can tank Rea Laeveteinn which is stronger than the blast. And the Loki Trio at lvl 1 defeated it.

Actually let me go and make English translations of the statement from the Sword Oratoria SS so you can have a better understanding of the feat.

There are no English translations so I'll be translating them from Chinese to English. First off statements about the forest

这里是阿尔弗的王森。与大陆遥远的西方相连的零峰阿尔弗山脉并称为精灵的圣地，也是精灵的村子。高耸于森林中心地巨大的圣王树下，向外扩散的群树城邑就是妖精的幻想乡。
This place is the Alf's Royal Forest. It along with the Zero Peak Alf Mountains which are connected to the far west of the continent, are also called the Holy Land of the Elves, and the village of the Elves.

远胜于一国的王都规模的宽广地『阿尔弗的王森』，称呼为树海也相当符合的地方，但对于出来狩猎好几次的里维莉亚来说，与『庭院』是一个样。
A vast land far larger than a kingdom's capital, "Alf‘s Royal Forest", is a place that has been known as a sea of trees, but for Riveria, who has been out hunting several times, it is nothing more than a "garden".

高度轻易超过50公尺的树丛。缠绕著寂静的冷冽的泉水。未曾看过的景色渐渐出现在眼前。接下来的路程对里维莉亚来说也是『未知』。
Trees that easily exceed 50 meters in height. Entwined with the cold and silent spring water. The unseen scenery gradually appeared before their eyes. The following journey is also gonna be "unknown" to Riveria.

And now the feats. Riveria’s 1st Wynn Fimbulvetr

Alf's Royal Forest was covered by countless dense branches and leaves, so it was impossible to see the sky. From the gaps between the branches and leaves, only a small amount of sunlight and moonlight fell onto the sacred tree, forming irregular reflections which made the royal forest look like a fantasy world.

Lvl 1 Riveria's Wynn Fimbulvetr created a large hole through the sea of trees that were over 50 meters tall into the horizon. Riveria's magic destroyed all the 50 meter tall trees all the way to the horizon. This feat is probably like 8-B at minimum right?

Though there’s also the problem of whether or not this feat is an outlier due to how high it is. Gonna go and see if there are any other feats that come close for the lower tier adventurers.

Yeah, this sounds extremely powerful for it to be a Level 2 magic.

Depending on the density of the forest, clearing up a way to the horizon with these massive trees could probably even get 8-A/7-C levels of power.

I will still try to calculate it though.

Yeah I was really surprised to see this feat consider how impressive it was for a lvl 1 to perform it. But it probably was a lvl 2 spell at most since Riveria’s stage 2 attack magic Rea Laeveteinn is the magic spell that is noted to output power that is one lvl higher due to Sword Oratoria Volume 4 stating that a lvl 6 Rivera‘s Rea Laeveteinn is on par with the lvl 7 Titan Alm Demi Spirit’s Fire Storm. So at lvl 6 after gaining a bunch of status points Rea Laeveteinn is still only able to output energy that is one lvl higher than Riveria’s actual lvl. Which means this Wynn Fimbulvetr which is weaker than Rea Laeveteinn should scale to lvl 2 adventurers since it was performed by a lvl 1 Rivera who had 0 status points.

Though whether or not this is an outlier is the main problem. Cause if it’s around 8-A/Low 7-C like you said then yeah there’s a high chance this could be an outlier if no other feats come close to this in the series for characters that are around lvl 2.

Location of the Kaios Desert

Freya smiled with her eyes as the bone-dry wind whipped past her. Her journey had started at Orario, once called the edge of the world for its location on the western fringes of the continent. After she departed from the city, she headed southeast in search of unknown lands she had never visited before. The first notable sight she encountered was an expanse of sand that reached past the horizon in every direction.

This was the Grand Sand Sea, which was as about as far removed from the deep blue as a place could be. It was also known as the Kaios Desert, an arid region located to the southwest of the center of the continent, where so many countries were clustered.

A town built around an oasis praised for its clean, refreshing water, it felt almost like a small island situated in the middle of an endless sea. A port specially designed for desert ships had been constructed in the south part of town. By following the three-meter-high wall surrounding the town that kept out monsters, they arrived at the port. Because it was a sea of sand, there was no lowering of anchors. The ship was instead fixed to a docking pillar with chains.

Kaios Desert Geography

The Kaios Desert was split into east and west by the giant Nile River running through it. And Israfan, the country of merchants, was located on the western side. In telling the history of the Kaios Desert, the closer to the great Nile River a country was, the more likely it was to flourish, and the farther it was, the smaller it was likely to be. Israfan was one of the latter countries. It was surrounded on all sides by several different countries in the middle of the western desert. And the town of Leodo was located near its northern border.

Allen is the fastest adventurer in Orario. There was also a nearly supersonic statement for Allen in the English translation of the novel but the Chinese translation only said super high speed movement so I won't include it. Not to mention Allen's top speed only being nearly supersonic just sounds wrong especially when even lvl 3 Lefiya can break the sound barrier. There was also a lightspeed statement but that was never there in the Chinese translation so its likely just a mistranslation in English.

The fastest in Orario.

Allen was faster than every other adventurer, and he ran riot around the battlefield, kicking up an enormous plumes of dust like a blindingly fast chariot. To the soldiers, it was like a natural disaster or a gigantic monster attacking. Their taste for battle vanished, but Allen did not allow even one who turned their back to escape.

The resulting tremor demolished the hill and blew away the Gulliver brothers' small bodies.

All of that combined with his extreme endurance ability and he was capable of weathering attacks like an immovable fortress. As evidenced by the fact that he had not been forced from the center of the island throughout that entire onslaught.

And then, Allen's desire to kill reached its limit and he lowered his body. What was coming next would be the fastest strike. Hedin's Valiant Hildr half-destroyed an island on the 27th floor

The giant bolt of lightning caused not just Ottar and Allen but even the Gullivers and Hegni to widen their eyes in surprise and leap backward. The lightning split the battlefield down the middle and caused the water to boil as it easily cut through the crystal hill.

The island was half-destroyed, stormy waves rose, and water mixed with lightning scattered about the room. Ottar and the rest turned to look as an elf wielding a rhomphaia appeared through the hole they had opened earlier.

The battle between the Freya Familia executives were sending tremors that can be felt three floors away. And if I remember correctly the Great Fall which starts from the 25th to 27th floor was stated to be 400 meters wide and over 2x that in terms of length (height). Also Udaeus is less of a threat to Ottar than the Freya Familia executives.

"With you sending tremors through the entire Water Metropolis, there's no way to not notice. The other adventurers all ran away thinking there might be a new species of monster that had appeared and started running wild."

When Hedin pointed out that the aftereffects of their battle had been felt even three floors away, there was not really much more to say. Hedin looked exasperated as he walked toward Ottar and tossed him an elixir.

"I know you don't need it, but I'm sure this was more exhausting for you than fighting Udaeus will be."

The throne room. The area at the center of the floor where the staircase to the next floor was, as well as where Ottar's target would appear.

He had stopped in front of a single extra-large room. Unlike the rest of the labyrinth up to that point, the phosphorescence was bright enough to see clearly there. Overhead, the ceiling was high enough to not be visible, just like the rest of the floor.

Udaeus w/ Udaeus Black Sword is capable of overpowering and injuring Ottar

It was an explosion of the enormous amounts of magic poured into its joints combined with the monster's intense power. The two created a destructive ray of light, and that slash was the first thing that caused Ottar's body to move backward. His planted legs slid, leaving two giant gashes in the floor of the room. His breastplate and shoulder armor were entirely blown away by the force of the great black sword, and his body itself was lacerated by the violent force and burned by the high temperature of the magic light. The greatsword he had readied the first-tier weapon forged by Goibniu Familia, cracked under the force of it all.

Looking up, the scene around the room was like a field that had been burned. All of the pila sticking out of the ground had disappeared and the ground inside the attack's area of effect had transformed into a distorted, burned-out empty lot. The spartoi who had been caught up in it were, of course, destroyed and the skeleton king wielding its ultimate weapon ruled over the battlefield with a demeanor of absolute supremacy.

Ottar's perfect defense had not been broken, but his body had not been able to endure the full brunt of it. It could not blunt the force entirely. Several bones had been damaged, but Ottar was most disappointed in his own powerlessness.

One of the weakest members of the Zeus Familia one shot lvl 3 Ottar in the past

The very first defeat had been a single strike. A hand had clamped down on the top of his head and slammed him into the ground. The man who had shattered the stone pavement while knocking out the Level-3 Ottar had been one of the lowest members of Zeus Familia. He apologized for slighting the goddess and then left as if it were nothing.

He was lying collapsed on the ground as rain fell, but even still, Ottar glared with an unabated blaze in his eyes as he heard the follower of Zeus, the city's strongest- -no the world's strongest adventurer, the Level-8 supreme.

Seeing Ottar beaten into the ground in the blazing labyrinth and yet still not having his spirit broken, the follower of Hera, the world's scariest woman, the Level-9 empress, laughed.

All of Ottar's lvl up after lvl 5 were due to the Zeus and Hera Familia. The first time was 15 years ago with Maxim and the second time was Zard during Astrea Record.

That was how the heroic warrior began to take shape. The impetus for all of his level-ups after Level 5 were related to Zeus Familia or Hera Familia.

The boaz who unleashed that peerless attack was calmly standing there. He glanced at his greatsword that had shattered entirely and then cast it aside.

Sticking out of the ground behind the floor master, knocked back in the final attack, was the great black sword, cracks running through it.

Having lost the king's blade, Udaeus seemed to have run out of strength and its flaming eyes were flickering like a candle in the wind before suddenly extinguishing. The countless bones before Ottar fell to the ground with a deafening clatter. And standing in the middle of the pile of bones was a glimmering giant purple magic stone.

Nah it’s fine. I was also on break from reading the novels since I completely forgot Digimon Survive came out at the end of last month. I’ll probably start rereading once I finish the first route in the game. After that I’ll just slowly play through the other three routes while reading the novels.

Oh damn 8-A+ nice. I’ll add that to the starting post for now. Once we compile all the usable feats and stuff in the series I’ll make the CRT. Though there’s definitely still the problem of whether or not this is an outlier.

Part 1: ~Knight's Glory~

Ryulu defeated Helga the strategist of the Knights of Fianna in a board game

Dim is stronger than Lazar but they are both somewhat comparable and could kill monsters

Dim is capable of fighting orcs lvl 2 monsters

Fianna soloed the army of fomoires, monsters from the 49th floor (at least lvl 4) as well as killed the large fomoire (likely an enhanced species)

Goll is also capable of killing fomoires

Grainne (Seems to be Valletta's past life) has killed monsters before. She killed Melia the second strongest member of the Knights of Fianna.

Souls are an important thing in DanMachi now apparently. Fianna possessed the Bloodfury Spear inside her soul a weapon that is not from the gods but born from the crystalized rage borne by the world full of despair. This is the reason why Fianna was so powerful despite not possessing falna.

Now Dim who is revealed to be Fianna's half-brother also awakened the Bloodfury Spear which was split in half just like the siblings souls. Dim asked the spirit Finnegas to fuse Fianna's side of the Bloodfury Spear with his half. This is why thousands of years later Dim's reincarnation Finn possesses the magic Hell Finegas. And because Dim who now calls himself Finn possesses both halves of the Bloodfury Spear his power should be far greater than that of Fianna's. Finn now essentially has the power of two Fianna in one. Guess we'll see how strong he is in part 2 and 3.

Oh right also Tir na Nog the Pallums' paradise during this era is also the name of present day Finn's throwing spear magic,

Fianna was a hero 3 years before Argonaut and even at 11 years old she single-handedly overturned an entire battlefield and made the knights backliners.

DanMemo 5th Anniversary “Knights of Fianna”

Part 2: ~Artificial Hero~

Aillen mac Midgna lullaby instantly causes people within its range to fall asleep. It is also capable of absorbing energy and sharing it with other monsters.

Finn is capable of fighting Galmus on even grounds. Finegas states that Finn is superior to Galmus in terms of strength but inferior in terms of skill. After he activates the Bloodfury Spear he overpowers and destroys Galmus' warhammer.

Part 3: ~Tracks of Courage~

Elmina is able to overpower Base Finn but was defeated once he activated Bloodfury Spear. Elmina also admits that Finn was the first person to ever overpower her. Galmus only defeated Elmina during Argonaut after being amped by Ryulu and after Elmina went berserk due to Ryulu's words.

The reason why Finn is even stronger than people blessed by spirits is because he has both the Bloodfury Spear and the blessing of Finegas.

Yuri states that he and Galmus are about equal in terms of raw strength with Finn

Oh seems like we might have an official map of the continent or at least a small part of it

Also we have a shot of the Great Hole of the dungeon which is now covered by Babel

There is a barren wasteland northwest of the citadel and the Great Hole is protected by a massive canyon. And the beams of light are the reason why the wasteland is so empty. It vaporizes whatever gets close and overtime it created the wasteland. And the monster that is shooting these beams of light is Balor the lvl 7 Monster Rex of the 49th floor. Balor can locate enemies by sensing heat and magical energy.

Oh and it's not even a normal Balor. It's a Black Balor so it's one level higher than a normal Balor. So this is a lvl 8 Monster Rex that they are facing.

They also had to face Udaeus the lvl 6 Monster Rex of the 37th floor.

Yuri w/ Beastification is able to fight with Udaeus. Udaeus also pulled out his Udaeus Black Sword a weapon that is capable of overpowering and injuring Ottar who at the time was a lvl 7 with fully maxed out stats. Yuri w/ Beastification tanked said attack and was still able to fight. So Yuri w/ Beastification is possibly around as strong as lvl 7 Ottar. Though if I'm being honest its likely that he managed to barely dodge it like Aiz did and only got grazed. Elmina and Galmus survived Udaeus' attack and joined in the battle against Udaeus with Yuri and together they defeated Udaeus.

So yeah confirmation that Elmina and Galmus are lvl 6 and can hurt as well as tank attacks from Udaeus. So scaling wise

Finn w/ Bloodfury Spear >> Elmina > FInn >= Galmus = Yuri < Udaeus (Lvl 6)

Finn w/ Bloodfury Spear + Tir na Nog >>> Black Balor (Lvl 8)

Epithemus is canon! He came and cancelled out Black Balor's beam of light as well as took on all the monsters on the battlefield by himself using the primordial flames. However Black Monsters like Black Balor are immune to divine power so Epithemus can't hurt it. This was mentioned in the 4th anniversary "Aedes Vesta".

Finn w/ Bloodfury Spear (Hell Finegas) + Tir na Nog (The magic which puts all his status into his spear toss) managed to overpower Black Balor's beam of light and one shot it. Said attack also destroyed the canyon blocking the Great Hole behind Black Balor all the way up to the end of their line of sight from the looks of it. Though Finn also died after performing this feat. But this feat should still be scalable to Zard w/ Deus Ambrosia and Alfia w/ Genos Angelus as they one shot Behemoth and Leviathan whom are lvl 9 with those magic. And of course Albert and the One Eyed Black Dragon.

Therefir is it possible to calc this? And if so what tier would it be?

Finn’s Hoofprint at the end of Part 3 was the strongest power of the Age of Heroes before the appearance of Albert Waldstein. So Finn’s Tir Na Nog which one shot Black Balor, a lvl 8 monster rex, as well as made a hole in the canyon is more powerful than even Epithemus who if I remember correctly is stated to be on par with the Zeus and Hera Familia and is also capable of destroying the island Olympia is on in Anni 4. So these feats would only scale below Albert and the One Eyed Black Dragon as Albert is outright stated to be stronger than them and OEBD defeated him.

Their hide was as strong and thick as high-quality armor. These beasts were walking fortresses compared to the Fomoire on floor forty-nine.

Every person, human or demi-human, who had received a god’s Blessing had hieroglyphs—the writing system used by the gods—engraved on their back, without exception. The jumble of characters was the Blessing itself.

“Falna”—known to the people of earth as Status.

A Status was built on the excelia gained from any kind of experience from any part of a person’s life. A deity used the excelia contained within a person’s spirit in order to increase their individual skills and abilities, based on the information therein. It was a god’s grace in every sense of the word.

For the children of Gekai, Falna was the key to becoming stronger, reaching new heights and nothing more. Adventurers killed monsters in battle to gain excelia, had their god or goddess add it to their Status to become stronger, and repeated the cycle. For them, a god’s Blessing opened the door to limitless possibilities.

A Status was made up of five basic abilities: Strength, Defense, Dexterity, Agility, and Magic power. Additionally, Statuses included brackets for magic spells and skills that differed from person to person, based on the strength of the spiritual “container” they possessed. The Level was the most important part of the Status. A “level up” occurred when an adventurer acquired more excelia than their spiritual container could hold. Not only did leveling up dramatically increase all of their abilities, but it brought them one step closer to divinity.

Lefiya’s Status was Level 3. Her Skill increased her Magic power, making her a perfect fit for the rear of the formation as a mage.

As Tiona had said, having this Skill meant that, out of this party of four, Lefiya was capable of inflicting the most damage.

There were special floors throughout the Dungeon in which one extremely strong monster appeared. These monsters, known as floor bosses, struck fear into the hearts of adventurers. The Guild had a classification for them: Monster Rex.

Typically, floor bosses were a full level above all of the monsters located on their floor. They presented the largest challenge for adventurers in the Dungeon and required a great deal of teamwork to take down.

Lefiya gulped down the air in her throat as she realized that the dragon they were about to face had more physical power than a Level 6 floor boss.

Cadmus is one of the strongest monsters in the known parts of the Dungeon and can defeat swarms of lvl 4 monsters

Cadmus was an extremely rare monster that had been strong enough to contend with a floor boss, as well as act as the guardian of the springs.

Therefore, it was the strongest monster on the fifty-first floor. Actually, if all Monster Rexes were taken out of the equation, it was one of the strongest monsters known to man.

The fifty-first floor of the Dungeon was as expansive as any city. However, their prum general didn’t need a map. He had already memorized every inch of it. Admiring her commander’s knowledge, Tione immediately followed his orders.

Desperate’s silver blade was coated in the purple liquid and smoking like everything else that came in contact with the creature’s secret weapon. However, it was intact. Finn grinned, realizing that the blade truly was a “Superior.” Superiors were a class of weapon forged by High Smiths, giving it a unique characteristic or ability. Shifting his focus back to the battle, Loki Familia’s field general jumped into the fray.

Even though Finn couldn’t keep up with Aiz and her magically enhanced state, he was still remarkably agile and extremely intelligent—not a single movement was wasted. His fighting style was the result of constantly having to defeat larger foes using technique and courage.

Developmental Abilities lore

A magic circle appeared at her feet, glowing stronger with each syllable of her spell.

There was more to a Status than basic abilities. Advanced Abilities were derived from it as well, like “Conjure.”

When an adventurer with high Magic ability ranked up, there was a chance they might unlock a new skill that dramatically increased their magic output. Magic strength, range, and Mind efficiency increased with the ability Conjure. The magic circle at Lefiya’s feet was proof of her skill as a mage, and of her Advanced Ability

A crack suddenly appeared in the middle of its smooth “face,” opening its jaws as wide as possible.

Its entire body contracted as it launched an incredible stream of liquid from its head with enormous pressure.

In terms of amount and speed, there was no comparison with the other caterpillar monsters. Aiz chose to evade it with a quick sidestep.

The roar of a waterfall overtook her a heartbeat later. The blast was powerful enough to carve a chunk out of the ground where she had been standing, before crashing into the rock hill not too far behind her.

The hill collapsed in on itself, the crest falling into a newly formed pit of the purple liquid. Black smoke rose from the bubbling pile as the hill continue to crumble.

The Virga Demi Spirit's attack would've broke every one of Aiz's bone if it weren't for the Ariel boost. So the Virga Demi Spirit is at least lvl 5

Flat arms sliced through the air, clearly cutting the last of the smoke out of the way as it streaked toward her head.

A quick twist, duck, and back step allowed her to dodge three of the arms.

However, the monster’s fourth arm—one of the lower set of two— connected.

With the side of her blade, she managed to get into a defensive position at the last possible second. But the impact was so powerful that it sent her flying backward. Were it not for the wind’s protection, that hit could have crushed every bone in her body.

The Virga Demi Spirit is superior to lvl 5 Base Aiz and could trade blows with lvl 5 Aiz w/ Ariel

Focusing the power of Ariel’s wind onto her blade, Aiz deflected another round of swipes from its arms.

The addition of the wind allowed her thin blade to repel the beast’s surprisingly strong limbs. With her delicate frame and slender weapon, she would inspire many of the dwarves who fought as part of the wall in battle to faint from anxiety just watching her. But for her, she was using Magic enhancements in tandem with a Durandal. They made up for the obvious gap between her and the monster in terms of physical strength—and as a lone adventurer—to the point that her technique and skill were enough to do much more than just irritate the monster.

Through combat thus far, Aiz deduced that the pale-green front side of the arms had a very high Defense while the brilliantly colored underside was used to deploy spores. Once again, one of its slightly damaged arms blocked Desperate, protecting the softer flesh beneath as another one knocked away the weapon. The arms might have a limited range, but they packed so much punch that she could block only one hit at a time.

The two combatants traded blows over and over in a test of endurance.

Quietly, her lips formed the words.

“Lil Rafaga.”

Calling out the name of her finishing move, as instructed by her goddess, Aiz became the sharp point of the wind arrow.

“!!”

Air currents spiraled around her as she flashed toward her target faster than the eye could see. Sensing an imminent threat, the caterpillar folded its remaining three arms into a shield over its torso in a last-ditch effort to defend.

However, the silver-bladed tip of the wind arrow would not be stopped.

It pierced right through.

“—”

Shield and body couldn’t even slow down the arrow.

Minotaurs are the strongest and most dangerous monsters of the middle floor

These monsters were rated by the Guild as the strongest and most dangerous of the Dungeon’s middle levels. However, Loki Familia’s top-class adventurers didn’t bat an eye. They had been fighting monsters from more than thirty floors lower only a few days ago. There was a tremendous gap in power between Minotaurs and the fearsome beasts the adventurers had slain.

Despite her all-powerful, all-knowing abilities being sealed, Loki never aged no matter how long she stayed on Earth. Rather than being treated like a supreme entity, she was more like the head of a family who treated all her children well and received their love in return.

Geography of Orario. Doesn't seem like we have any statements of the actual size. Guess I'm gonna have to take a look at DanMachi and see if there is a statement regarding its size.

There were eight main streets in Orario. All of them started in the center of the circular city and expanded due north, northeast, east, southeast, south, southwest, west, and northwest. An aerial view of the metropolis would look like a cake cut into eight slices.

Northwest Main, the street that Loki Familia was walking on, was known as Adventurers Way because the Guild headquarters was located here, along with many weapon and item shops.

Adventurer level requirement for the different floors

Monsters were one thing, but encountering other adventurers in the Middle Levels was much rarer than the Upper Levels. For the most part, adventurers needed to be Level 2 at least to make it below the thirteenth floor. That meant that more than half of Orario’s adventurers, lower-class adventurers, couldn’t make it this far down. As a solo adventurer, the only company she had was the far-off howls of lurking monsters. It was extremely rare for her to hear a clash of metal that wasn’t her own.

Sharp pain shot through their arms the moment their punches connected. The monster’s skin repelled the attack. Despite being unarmed, the Amazonian twins were top-class adventurers. Hundreds of thousands of monsters had been literally torn apart by their hands. And yet, neither of them could make a dent in this one. All their powerful fists had done was make the creature flinch. In fact, the creature’s armor had inflicted more damage on them.

Potential speed feat for Aiz. Aiz slashed hundreds of times (At least 200 times) in the blink of an eye. Though this could be a translation error as I didn't see this feat in the Chinese translation. The Chinese translation only said Aiz made countless slashes on its body in a single swing.

Now it was frozen solid, unable to defend itself or run away from Aiz as she drew the new sword from its sheath.

One slash became hundreds in the blink of an eye as lines crisscrossed its body.

Aiz jumped over the monster’s head to deliver one final blow. “Hyuun!” The blade whistled as it sliced through air and beast.

Sheets of ice crumbled to the ground.

DanMachi Volume 1 actually didn't have as much information on Orario as I hoped. It's mostly stuff that are already stated in Sword Oratoria Volume 1. Also just some minor scaling for level 1 and 2 adventurers.

Basically, I’m being chased by the bull-headed man-beast, the Minotaur.

I’m going to be devoured by a monster that my measly Level One attacks can’t even scratch.

From the surface to the 1st floor there is a ten meter

A long, wide tunnel connects the upper part of the Dungeon with the outside world. Many people call it the Beginning Road. There is a large hole in the ceiling at the head of the road.

Unfortunately, I have to climb ten meters of a spiral staircase to get out of here. The hole’s diameter is about ten meters as well, just one giant tube.

I join countless groups of adventurers as they climb the winding silver staircase. After the last few steps, everything changes. The walls look manmade; even the smell is refreshing.

This is the basement of the white tower, Babel.

I draw my blade. This is my chance.

A clear shot at the ribs under its arm. Thrust with everything you’ve got!!! “Uhaha?!”

But…

Kishnnnn. My metal blade screams in pain.

The shock of impact shoots up my sword arm, my right wrist jammed. My blade was rejected. It couldn’t pierce the beast’s white fur. For some reason, silver specks are sparkling where my blade hit.

—The blade! It’s broken?!

That realization hits me like a bolt of lightning. My blade is in pieces, floating away. The back of my throat is twitching…

I can’t hurt it! My attacks aren’t strong enough!

After gaining the Hestia Knife and having his status updated his strength is now E-403 and he managed to one shot the Silverback

The “Hestia Knife” blazed purple in his grip. Its newfound strength gathered into the tip of the blade and sent a beam of light into the heavens.

All the power gathered in the blade, all of the strength in his body, every last drop of energy went into this thrust.

Muscles tore and bones cracked as Bell’s dagger pierced the monster’s chest, his body sticking out like a spear.

The White Fairy swears. The loyalty dedicated to the goddess.

The chariot advances. Cutting down everything but the goddess.

It is neither a dream nor a sophistry, but a proof of power.

"He who cannot surpass himself is not worthy of saving the goddess."

No one is wrong.

They just think of the goddess and run through the unprecedented "Great War" with their egos intact.

So, the boy who was scarred more than anyone else told "hypocrisy" in the twilight sky.

"I promised to help her."

This is the boy's walk, this is the goddess's note.

Also there's a spoilers floating around saying that the war game in Volume 18 is gonna be a hide and seek game. Whoever finds Freya or Hestia first wins the war game.

Also since I've got some free time now so I'm gonna just read through SO2 real quick as well.

Sword Oratoria Volume 2

Twilight Manor

Loki Familia’s home, the Twilight Manor, was more like a housing project of several high towers gathered together in one spot. The largest, thickest tower stood in the center and was surrounded by the remaining six.

The shape and height of the six towers varied, but all of them were connected at the base—creating a ring around the independent central tower— and each was connected on the higher floors by stone bridges to make traveling from tower to tower more convenient. Three of them were devoted to the male members of the familia, and four to the female members. Shared spaces such as the archives and cafeteria were not centralized in one tower.

The 18th floor, Under Resort

The eighteenth floor was the first safe point adventurers came across in the Dungeon. The scenery was so beautiful that it was often called the “Under Resort.”

Continuing north out of the forest, the first thing that came into view was an open prairie dotted with crystals of various sizes and shapes.

In the very center of the floor was a colossal tree, standing proudly in the middle of the vast, blue-green plain. It was called the Central Tree, and some of its roots created the tunnel that led to the nineteenth floor.

The northern region was a marshy wetland, while the large forest stretched from the south toward the east. A break in the plain lay to the west, a midnight-blue lake with a large island in the middle. This magnificent scene of nature, wrapped in a beautiful azure “sky” and decorated with magnificent crystals, was a sight that one could not find outside the Dungeon. This view had quite the reputation—great enough that wealthy people on the surface would hire adventurers to take them there so they could see it with their own eyes.

The eighteenth floor itself was shaped like a big dome with steep cliffs forming the edges. It created the sense that one was inside a miniature display.

Rivira

The town was built on the east side of the island, atop a two-hundred-meder cliff that looked out onto the lake. They used the natural formations of crystal and rock to ring the town with a rough wall. While not the prettiest of sights, it was sturdy enough and tall enough to repel most monster attacks.

Bete is the fastest member of Loki Familia (The english translation messed up and didn't mention him being the fastest of Loki Familia though I guess it mentioning that Bete is faster than Aiz is more than enough confirmation)

Along with power, the ash-colored werewolf was known for his speed and precision. Even among Loki Familia, he was considered the best at reading his opponents and retaliating against their next move before it could even happen. Each of the beasts seemed to be two or three seconds behind him as each attack was neutralized in quick succession.

Not even Aiz Wallenstein could match the werewolf in terms of pure speed, and Bete was using everything he could muster as he fought the creatures to a stalemate

Immunity skill level resistance

One combination of the divine characters spelled out “Immunity” in one of his Skill brackets—it protected him against different types of status effects, including poison. What’s more, the skill had reached “G.”

A G-level Immunity would have granted him protection from almost everything under the sun. Even a poison created by an expert chemist would have a difficult time slowing him down.

Rivira was located on the eighteenth floor of the Dungeon—an adventurer’s Basic Abilities needed to be between G and D to reliably reach the middle levels safely.

Therefore, a third-tier adventurer would have to be extremely capable to make it this far into the Dungeon solo, without any party members to protect them. Which meant that she had to be above a certain threshold to guarantee a safe arrival in Rivira.

She would only hold Aiz back if she stayed here. The monsters reacted to magic energy. So if she were to start conjuring magic, it would force Aiz to defend her rather than go on the offensive. Lefiya and Lulune might have been at Level 3, but the monsters were at least that powerful, if not more. Their hides would have been too tough for them to crack. The two of them alone wouldn’t be able to defend themselves in battle, let alone counterattack.

Lefiya and Aiz watched on in disbelief as the woman stopped the beam with the palm of her hand.

Thunderous roars echoed through the street as a spray of light particles diffused from the main arrow. The gauntlet couldn’t handle the energy and shattered, but the woman’s skin was unaffected. Instead of backing down, she was pushing back.

Swinging her arm with all her might, she sent the beam off its course and hurtling into the wall diagonally in front of her.

Violas Demi Spirit is capable of hurting lvl 5 Base Tiona

“—!”

“That hurt!”

The now-headless limb was spewing blood high into the air, but that didn’t stop it from launching Tiona straight back, hitting her like a thick whip.

Blocking the attack with the flat part of Urga’s blade, Tiona rolled over her shoulder and jumped back to her feet.

—However, the enemy was overpowering Aiz and her wind.

Even with the enchantment’s boost, the longsword was knocking Desperate off its path at incredible speed each time the two clashed. It even cut through Aiz’s protection, making several deep cuts across her body.

Even Airiel at full power wasn’t enough to gain the upper hand in this one-on-one duel. Aiz was able to keep her opponent from inflicting serious damage, but was still being overwhelmed. Her golden eyes were filled with surprise, but she didn’t consider looking away.

Revis was able to break through Aiz's wind shield

Sidestepping Aiz’s overhead strike, she moved with enough speed and power to cut through the wind.

An uppercut that started low and ended very high.

The woman’s bare left hand traveled through the wind armor and buried itself deep into Aiz’s stomach, launching the girl’s thin body into the air.

Finn and Riveria together were able to block Revis' punch

“What?!”

The metallic echo reverberated through the plateau. Her fist had been stopped.

A long spear and staff crossed just in front of Aiz’s surprised face. They’d come together at the last possible moment to block her opponent’s attack.

The tips of each weapon were embedded in the ground. Aiz’s neck swiveled left and right. A young prum man and an elegant elf lady were standing on either side of her.

Like knights protecting their princess, they had arrived just in time to shield her.

Finn broke a finger upon punching Revis

“—Guah!”

His incoming fist landed square on her jaw, sending her flying backward.

Finn had used every muscle in his small frame, put every fiber of his being into that punch. The woman’s body glided through the air and landed on the ground with a hard smack almost immediately. What’s more, she kept rolling for another ten or twenty meders.

The golden combination of Loki Familia’s top two left Aiz and Lefiya speechless. It also served as a demonstration for why they should stay on their good side.

“…”

“Finn?”

“My finger’s broken.”

His face devoid of emotion or pain, Finn shook his right hand as Riveria’s eyes opened in surprise.

37th Floor, the White Palace

The thirty-seventh floor of the Dungeon was known as the White Palace.

That name was based on two things: the pale-white color of the walls and its extremely complex layout that made it a labyrinth in its own right. The scale was completely different from any of the floors leading down to it. All the rooms and hallways were spacious and wide. There were a few exceptions, like where Aiz’s battle party had camped. However, most of the rooms exceeded ten meders in width.

The circular floor was like a fortress, standing five stories tall and wrapped in five massive round walls, with stairs leading to the next floor located at the very center. Adventurers needed to traverse many wide-open, exposed hallways as well as go up and down numerous stairwells in order to reach the center. Its size rivaled that of Orario itself. Although a route through the floor had been discovered and mapped, getting lost in this multileveled maze meant never seeing the light of day again.

The ceilings were so high that even top-class adventurers with their enhanced vision had difficulty seeing them. This gave the White Palace a gloomy atmosphere in every dimly lit hallway. The few lights present in the walls were barely strong enough to illuminate the adventurers’ faces as they passed.

Riveria can defeat monsters on the 37th floor which are lvl 3 to 4

Since all of them specialized in hand-to-hand combat, this floor was absolute torture for magic users. Without time to conjure their spells, they were extremely vulnerable to close-range attacks. Even worse was the fact that some of the monsters, especially the obsidian soldier, had natural protection against magic, thanks to the stones present in their bodies. A pure magic user like Lefiya could do little more than watch the battle unfold as Finn and Riveria set to work.

Udaeus wasn't even scratched by lvl 5 Aiz w/ Ariel

Aiz glanced at the black bone that had blocked her attack with her usual aloof expression, genuinely surprised she hadn’t cut it in half. In fact, there wasn’t even a scratch on it. She lamented the lost chance under her breath.

Even a single direct hit from Udaeus would be dangerous for Aiz. The ancient heroes Galmus, Yuri, and Elmina were all able to take direct hits and survive so they are at least stronger than lvl 5 Aiz w/ Ariel who is pretty much a lvl 6.

It went without saying that they hit hard. However, Udaeus’s attacks from overhead were far more destructive. Everything that happened to be beneath one of it strikes was shattered on impact. Pikes became nothing but flat rubble in their wake. Aiz might be protected by wind armor, but even that couldn’t absorb a direct hit. The female-figured monsters she had fought on the fiftieth and eighteenth floors seemed weak by comparison. This creature’s strength and abilities made it worthy of being a floor boss.

Indeed, the massive skeleton looming overhead had several weak points to choose from. What’s more, the spaces between its shoulders, elbows, and all the way down to the smaller joints flickered with a violet light similar to a magic stone’s.

Riveria can physically defeat Spartois which are the strongest monsters on the 37th floor outside of irregulars and Udaeus

“Geh?!”

Riveria wildly swung her staff forward, knocking the spartoi out of her path and putting a major dent in its head in the process.

The last of the monsters that had surrounded her dispatched, the elf started to run toward her battered and bloodied friend.

It takes roughly 3 days to travel from the 37th floor to the upper floors (Floor 1-12) with the shortest route + some rest. 5th floor to be specific as that was where Bell was on when testing Firebolt.

It took Aiz and Riveria three days to return to the Dungeon’s upper levels after Udaeus fell in battle.

Normally, passing through the lower and middle levels could take much longer, but they chose the shortest route, with Riveria handling most of the encounters to give Aiz a chance to recuperate. They even spent some time resting in the town of Rivira on the eighteenth floor, so the two adventurers showed little signs of fatigue.

Have some more time these days so I think I’m gonna continue the reread again. Anyways to start off let’s go with Astrea Record now that all three volumes of the novel version are out. There’s no translations so there’s only info from summaries right now.

Astrea Record

Astrea Record Volume 1

Back then in Orario there were multiple familias outside of the Zeus and Hera Familia that had hidden lvl 6s and even lvl 7 captains. However they all died trying to challenge Zeus and Hera. One such god was Sobek a god mentioned in Haruhime’s SS. Osiris Familia was also one such Familia with multiple hidden lvl 6s and lvl 7. Merti Zara is the lvl 7 captain of the Osiris Familia.

The adventurers that didn’t die from these familias were the 2nd tier adventurers that eventually joined the Alecto and Apate Familia. Evilus used drugs and curses to turn them into berserkers and by Astrea Record the ones that survived the drugs and curses became lvl 5s that fought the Freya Familia. They also tried to recreate the blessing of the spirits from ancient times with lower spirits in present time but the power gained was no where near the blessing of the spirits from ancient times and all that did was grant them a massive increase in mind with some select few gaining regeneration. Originally there were 42 elves and 34 warriors but by the end only 12 elves were left. These were the twelve that surrounded the Bringar Brothers whom were lvl 4 during Astrea Record.

The white elf and dark elf girl shown in the images of volume 1 are the Alecto Familia Captain and Vice Captain, a pair of elven sisters named Dina and Vena both at Level 5. Along with Valletta, they have caused the most murders in the city, and are Hedin and Hogni's archnemesis.

Zard sent lvl 5 Allen flying by simply moving his arms a bit. And he also one shot lvl 6 Ottar with a single punch.

Alfia’s Silentium Eden caused a shockwave that could be felt by Ryuu’s group who was on the other side of Orario.

Hermes Familia’s former captain Lidith, sacrificed herself during Astrea Record to allow high tier adventures to escape. Fels wanted to try and save her with Resurrection magic but Ouranos stopped her.

Alfia’s status sheet reveals that she is another character in the series outside of Bell that has a stat above S rank. She has a SS 1001 in magic. Could be because of her sickness which is considered a skill that seems to boost growth just like Liaris Freese.

Both Zard and Alfia’s lowest floor reached was Floor 71. And they were executives of Zeus and Hera Familia so it can be assumed that this is also the Zeus and Hera Familia’s true dungeon record. Fits with how Omori said they can defeat Juggernauts spawned on the 70th floor. Though I honestly expected them to reach the 80s.

Delphyne is stated to be lvl 6-7 and lvl 5 Riveria’s 3rd stage attack magic Vas Windheim was able to expose its magic stone which allowed Aiz to kill it. So Riveria’s 3rd stage magic is pretty much confirmed to output power two lvls higher than her normal lvl.

Knight of Nights the only other lvl 7 in the world in present day outside of Ottar is confirmed to have participated in the battle against Leviathan which further fuels the theory that he is from Poseidon Familia.

Alise’s skill allows her to passively grow stronger as she enters battle and when she is pushed to a desperate situation her power grows massively.

During the final battle due to her illness Alfia’s power dropped to that of a lvl 5 perhaps even a lvl 4.

Alfia’s Genos Angelus was a lvl 7 attack when she was weakened. It was capable of destroying everything within 100 meters.

Dina the white elf captain of Alecto Familia has curse magic which allows her to exchange status points. She used this to take half of Vena’s agility and strength while giving her own Endurance and Magic away. The dark elf little sister Vena has some kind of fire magic that is basically Rea Laeveteinn lite. Dina is basically support while Vena is the frontline fighter after gaining more status points through Dina’s magic.

Artemis appears in the novel version of Astrea Record to assist Orario. Knight of Nights was assisting other parts of the world that were attacked by Evilus in order to prevent them from assisting Orario.

When normal people detonate their spells early (Like Lefiya’s Arcs Ray against Bell during SO10) they essentially make their magic blast or beam explode at a random timing. But for Alfia, she could make the residue from the magic explode a second time to cause a second blast of magic.

Hedin w/ Hogni’s sword could cause an attack that 50 meters long with all his stamina.

Alfia’s Santanas Verion without being restricted by Silentium Eden was so powerful that the mere sound waves of the blast aimed at Astrea Familia hurt Delphyne and caused it to scream in pain and destroy the terrain.

Our current profiles for DanMachi are pretty bad so probably not for some of the higher tier adventurers like Aiz. And from what the novelization of Astrea Record has shown it honestly sounds like Omori doesn't intend to make the adventurers that powerful. Lvl 5 Hedin using all his stamina only made a slash that was like 50 meters long and a heavily weakened Alfia’s strongest lvl 7 attack was only going to destroy 100 meters. Though if we can just calc Orario’s size we might be able to get higher tiers from Zard and Alfia violently shaking Orario with their attacks. But I’m not sure if they technically fit Omori’s views on how strong the present day adventurers are.
