Hello! I'm finally done with the first page for the Deathless/Godclads series, and this CRT is for the publishing of it, and more importantly, explaining the controversial abilities. Those being;
Regardless, here is the profile.
Massive thanks for @FriendOfTheTeaParty for the scans and help.
Furthermore, as the profile shows, Magic, which is what 99% of the verse uses, is a lore, a narrative that one comprehends and attunes to. It happens when a specific existential concept is imprinted deeply enough in one's mind that it seeps into the soul, and allows the control and the manifestation of it. The profile has much more, just literally check the first justifcation, as it has all the scans on what magic does, how it works, etc... but I believe that is enough for Type 1, since concepts themselves are type 1.
For Law Manipulation, well, it is explicitly described as the manipulation of the rules of Existence, so-
Well, to start off, the soul is stated to have the narrative of a being, with it containing the history, legend, and story of someone.
There is a lore of Magic called Animancy, which is the Magic of Magic, and is mainly for the manipulation of the soul. It was stated to allow someone to shape their own story, to become an editor, to even rewrite what your story is, or rewrite of others. Furthermore, there exists a Universal Narrative that comprises the world, with those being destroyed by Animancy having their own narrative forcefully merged with the Universal narrative, unable to ever escape it.
The profile, again, has more scans on this and elaborates more, simply check the "Abstract Existence" power and its justification. It has all the scans and references.
Now, some people might say that Narrative is just another word for Fate (???), and that they mean Fate rather than Narrative.
Well, no. And to show that (as well as some other proofs):
So, this'll make;
PS. This character is complete fodder btw, and I have no clue why it has taken me this long to make it. This pained me more than Wang Wei

Concept Manipulation (Type 1)
To start off with the simple one, Concepts in the Deathless/Godclads universe are stated to predate all of existence, existing prior to their particulars;A screaming symphony of pain played across the Hatchling's body. It clutched its wounds, marveling in horror at the blood pouring out from its flesh, and along with the Eldest it felt that cold touch of mortality sink in for the first time in truth. “Is this what it is like?” the Hatchling whispered, looking down as steaming organs spilled through its splayed fingers. This is it, to be another, in their entirety? To be narrowed down into a single body, a single vulnerable, fallible body? Is this what it is like, to be born as an individual instead of existing as a primordial idea before existence, before all other Outsiders?
These thoughts echoed true in the Eldest.
They had been spared the risk of death as a birthright, simply because they were first, because they had to exist before anything else did. Once, they had been the primordial concept of origin.

Narrative Shenanigans (Plot Manipulation)
Oh boy.Well, to start off, the soul is stated to have the narrative of a being, with it containing the history, legend, and story of someone.

Now, some people might say that Narrative is just another word for Fate (???), and that they mean Fate rather than Narrative.
Well, no. And to show that (as well as some other proofs):
- Constantly described and written as a Narrative and fundamental to the world, and never as Fate, and it was stated to be the fabric of Stories.
- It is explicitly not Time as well, as shown when Shiv (MC) states that it wasn't the Narrative holding him still this time, but rather Time itself.
- When a person manipulated the Narratives, it was described as the very world becoming gnarled and fading like old pages from a book, with the characters stating they were like readers reading words that describe what they were doing, rather than actual beingswith them becoming sketches on paper.
- The Narrative itself could hold someone still, not allowing them to move.
- Characters stating to have "Narrative Powers"
TL;DR
Not that big of a CRT, but simply wanted to show proof for the complicated abilities.So, this'll make;
- Souls being Plot/Narrative, and History, with those manipulating it getting the manipulation of those aspects. Furthermore, if someone wanted to affect it, it requires all those aspects to be covered.
- Magic, similarly, is Plot/Narrative, as it is described as one, and quite literally called Lores as well. As such, any character that is able to manipulate Magic gets the manipulation of those aspects, and also get Concept Manip (Type 1)
- There exists a Universal Narrative that comprises everything, and it is fundamental to the world.
PS. This character is complete fodder btw, and I have no clue why it has taken me this long to make it. This pained me more than Wang Wei
