alright so question, how big of a gap is it in speed and who has the speed advantage? because if Doma has the advantage and the mark doesn't make it big enough it might be a case where Doma can simply use his BDA to attack from afar since its like a couple of meters vs 10-100 meters which given the range both start at would favor Doma

But seriously, Doma best showing is initially speed blitzing base Shinobu (the fastest Hashira in Infinity Castle), before nearly reading an attack from a perception attack coming from Shinobu (got a stat amp from being near death like she's a Saiyan) and then consistently blitzing Kanao and Inosuke, who's speed should be a lightning timer levels (they can dodge lightning).

Gyomei reacted numerous times to Kokushibo's speed (strongest Kizuki by every margin), only really getting blitzed when Kokushibo used a speed amp. His "demon-like" RE can help him get faster and stronger. Demon Slayer Mark and Transparent World does the same thing, with the former being a blitz level amp and the latter basically statuing Doma because of the self perception manipulation combined with the speed amp.

well this is some fuckery

so like Doma is faster and potentially by alot if we go by feats, BUT Gyomei can see Doma in a slower motion. The mark does help Gyomei however the issue is that if Shinobu is the fastest in the infinity castle and Doma can react to her even with the amp, I feel like Doma is a bit faster? Im guessing that See through world likely taxes Gyomei a bit so I think Domas got a decent advantage since he does have better range

Demon Slayer profiles are **** and they keep referencing Mitsuri's Lightning dodging feat and Tengen's bomb cutting feat with no scaling to speak of. Sorry if I go on a rant here, but it's just copy and paste laziness. It's always the Tengen feat and the Mitsuri feat and the profiles saying stuff like "is comparable to Mitsuri who can dodge lightning and Tengen who can do this" Literally no other profiles do this. It's just Kimetsu no Yaiba for some reason. Had a friend. I really like him but man. We worked on the Hairo's Profile together. I edited the statistic for the speed feat to be inside of the rating, like how Goku's Profile does. He said "no that's wrong," and you know what they changed my edit to put?
Speed: Supersonic+ (Can keep up with Gaiden Rengoku and Blitzed Gaiden Mitsuri. As Lower Moon 2, Hairo is comparable to Enmu and Rui, and as a member of the Twelve Kizuki should be significantly faster than the lesser Slasher Demon who could do this), higher with Warwolf of Horror

What is this ****? It's "he's comparable to another guy who is superior to this guy who did this feat" it's so ****ing bad man. The Kimetsu no Yaiba Profiles are so bad man. We have Doma's Profile saying "blitzed Kanao and Inosuke after getting serious" which is literally misinformation.

Doma is definitely faster, but Gyomei can still effectively fight the guy.

Doma reacted to Shinobu with immense difficulty, and the attack hit anyways because he was too slow. All he did was just say "SHE'S RIGHT UNDER ME"

Gyomei's Instinctive Reaction can work on stuff that blitzes him.

See Through World activated for Gyomei and he maintained it for some seconds before losing it again. It was long enough to get a burst of speed and attack Kokushibo. Transparent World is not taxing at all. It isn't like Super Saiyan or Sage Mode where it wears down on Gyomei's body. Gyomei kinda just gets it and has it. Similarly, Demon Slayer Mark isn't taxing. It's just becomes a new base.

first off, holy shit I knew that the profiles are a bit scuffed since the mitsuri stuff is there but I didnt know it was this bad.

also second, ok so Doma isnt really that much faster than Gyomei and infact speeds not that much of a problem since Gyomeis built to deal with that shit. Alright so this changes alot because if the mark just becomes the new base and Gyomei does not get taxed by the see through world, I think I might give my vote to Gyomei since hes got a decent ranged attack and he should be able to basically move around Domas Ice. with See through world and instinctive reaction making him ironically harder to hit despite being the larger one of the two

To unlock a demon slayer mark, your body heat needs to reach 39°C or higher. Gyomei can just disperse the little ice clouds and block/dodge his projectile attacks, sure. But the moment he pops the Slayer Mark, Doma will surely notice the strength and speed increase. He's not stupid enough to NOT use his strongest techniques when he feels threatened, so he'll probably use his Boddhisatva or clones to overwhelm him the moment Gyomei gets the upper hand. And going up close without getting frozen is practically impossible, so Gyomei will quickly lose his amp. And considering Doma won't be under the influence of poison in this fight, he can probably also resort to spamming him with as many clones as he needs, maybe even while he has the Boddhisatva. And his clones are just as strong as himself, at least their techniques are. Doma can effectively take away his amp, while also threatening his ability to use breathing techniques with his clouds/mist, while also being relative to him in physical stats.

Doma only managed this after Shinobu gets nerfed by his frost freezing her lungs and misting her blood.

I think Gyomei has the speed advantage when marked with TW thanks to keeping up with LS Kokushibo who should be faster than Doma, although as Mach mentioned this raises the issue of if he can unlock the mark at all with Doma’s mist keeping his body temperature low. Although he could theoretically start off with the mark since he is the only one who can active it at will.

Regardless I think Doma takes this thanks to the fact that he just has so many ways to keep Gyomei at a distance and whittle him down. His ice clones alone spamming his ice abilities on their own makes him incredibly hard to deal with, and he can always finish things off with his giant ice statue that proved quite the problem even when Doma summoned it while melting at the seems.

There doesn’t even need to be an in depth discussion about the fight itself since I’m pretty sure the top 3 Upper Moons can’t be solo’d in verse when they’re locked in. It’s entirely dependent on how Douma is gonna act

To be fair there is a huge difference between 4’11’’ Shinobu built like a twig, and 7’2’’ Gyomei built like a truck, when it comes to assessing “Who might be physically strong enough to decapitate me?”

Gyomei is just kind of hard to underestimate.

And once Doma realized he was actually vulnerable from the poison when fighting Kanao and Inosuke he immediately jumped to his strongest abilities since he realized he was actually in danger. So might do something similar here.
