Devil May Cry Discussion Thread

The reason is, their demonic nature comes from having Sparda as the origin of it all. Once they reached the point they have surpassed Sparda and come into their own beings with their own powers there is no reason for Sparda or the others to scale.

Yes, Dante is what he is even in DMC5 because of he is Sparda's son but at some point his abilities and powers far exceeded those of Sparda.

Would it be fair to scale Sparda to someone who far surpasses his powers and abilities? obviously not, same logic applies to Vergil and Nero.

The cap is not based on AP or demonic power, it's just the point at which their powers diverge from those of Sparda or they surpassed Sparda.

Who would scale? As the page says, anyone who has Sparda's blood because X or Y reasons. The twins, Nero, Chen and Gilver (and Sparda obviously)

Would like to see Clive's preview before placing any bets. Altho, considering they already made up the regen tied to stamina stuff and reiterating it again, I don't have much hope for Dante tbh.
Without a Clive profile this shit hard as **** to debate

Someone said the G1 thinks its close

Clive profile in the wiki you mean?

Well Clive is pretty close in most aspects if we go by what the scalers in our wiki have said even if we don't have profile for him.

However it's DB we are talking about. They are infamous for their research and never getting anything correct even if the result is correct.

Reminder that not everyone shares our beliefs nor trust our pages.

Yeah, Dante would realistically stomp but that's here, there who know what they may come up with (wall level Vergil, someone?).

Honestly, happy that DMC gets more spotlight at the end of the day.

Netflix also gave DMC spotlight.

When it comes to vs clive , I’m definitely siding with Clive. Dante doesn’t have any cosmic-level feats. I mean, in the Devil May Cry anime, he literally got manipulated by that poker demon, and then Lady shot him he got knocked out by a bullet. (And just to be clear, I’m not talking about the Netflix version.)

Overall, Dante is much weaker than Clive in every aspect ,speed, strength, and abilities. The only thing that makes Dante truly dangerous is his SDT especially with his L2 move, which can bypass durability. But aside from that, Clive completely destroys him.

The only real feats Dante has in the games are building-level to maybe city-level at best. He stopped the Savior’s punch, sure, and in DMC5 he only managed to defeat Urizen. But honestly, Urizen isn’t nearly as impressive as Mundus who could fly, shoot massive energy projectiles, and even create an entire universe.

However, since itsuno took over, all that “cosmic-level” stuff pretty much disappeared. The power scaling in DMC5 is way more grounded it’s closer to building or city rather than anything universal.

The cinematography and presentation in DMC5 are really poor. The Nero vs Goliath fight actually looks way more impressive than Dante vs Urizen. When Nero grabs Goliath and throws him into a building, it feels powerful and dynamic.

Meanwhile, Sin Devil Trigger Dante, who’s supposed to be 150 times stronger than Nero, can’t even do much against Urizen. In fact, Nero with just his sword managed to break Urizen’s shield and injure his hand, whereas SDT Dante didn’t even leave a real wound; he only crushed Urizen’s tentacles and pushed him back at the end of the mission.

And right after that, Urizen eats the fruit and suddenly becomes some kind of god or whatever, and then this idiot starts doing kung fu like, just what?   Only to end up getting destroyed by DANTE BASE FORM ? Seriously? Urizen was actually stronger with his armor on. I honestly don’t understand the game’s logic anymore. Dante should’ve completely destroyed Urizen back in Mission 12 with SDT.

And I’m not even talking about the whole “MFTL Dante” thing. He’s supposed to be massively faster than light, yet when he’s standing right next to V, he doesn’t even react or shoot in time. It’s ridiculous.

Are you trolling? That's a genuine question.

You want to DM me about what's bothering you in private, I'm being genuine and want to help you, you shouldn't suffer in silence.

It Hurt my eyes, like the absolute lowball is 6-C, Mundus dying literally blow up a island in the end of Game 1

Lets forgot every other time Dante fight against City dudes levels (one actually is powered by Demon world itself too)

Can anyone get a scan of Blitz moving "Like a natural Cloud-to-Ground Lighting"? I thought it might be possible to calculate KE and use it for an small upgrade.

I mean, if he is trolling then good for him, got a bunch of guys up there, if he isn't then good for him too ig, should research da verse more but that's it.
