Dispatch General Discussion Thread

was actually thinking about that a moment ago.

in this scene we can see both the time and the space made by chase in the sequence, if taken the average urban road size (36 feet on average) we should be able of finding out the speed he was going

I could try a hand at it, but I’m a bit better at AP calcs since that’s what I’ve actually done before.

Haven't seen this myself, but apparently Malevola can make portals big enough to fit planes through (minus the wings)? Seeing people say she can do that on one of the dispatch shifts. Can anyone confirm that? Because that's kinda crazy.

now that you make me think about shifts can still be used as feats sometime.

idk if that's true tho

I think the best way to approach that would be to use the special interactions that sometimes pop up (the ones with the character's picture that guarantee a success) as potentially viable feats and completely ignore that more generic stat-oriented stuff.

If the plane thing is real, I have to assume it's one of those.

Oh yeah, it's her character specific option if she's with the Ground Team for the Airplane event towards the end of the Blackout shift iirc, had to restart that shift because of a glitch and decided to try ground team on the second go around after going for the air option first time round and stumbled on it. Actually, that spoilered event from episode 5 might give us some other stuff, maybe? idk

Thanks for confirming. Malevola's really strong, god damn. I still think Prism has the best powers of the bunch, but Malevola is close.

I think you could also try something with the fact that the satellite tracker on Visi couldn't ping while she was running with him. It looked like she teleported from the shipyard to the park.

Yo can anyone analyse the damage and tell me if they think it is Normal Fragmentation or Violent Fragmentation cuz the calc itself is already approved I just need more input on the destruction values.
Definitely normal frag. A huge chunk flies at the camera when he goes through.

In Chapter 5, we see Robert benching with a pair of 35s and 25s. Given size of the plates, those are likely in kilograms. Gym bars are typically 20 kg, for a total of 70 + 50 + 20 = 140 kg.

The most common ratio of weight one's able to bench vs. squat vs. deadlift is about 3:4:5 (source), giving Robert a deadlift of 233.33 kg, which is a bit above the low end of Peak Human. (Invisigal calling him a Dad Bod really makes me wonder what the heck she thinks dads normaly look like)

...And then Flambae casually squatted like, 300 kg (35 * 8 + 20) with barely any effort.

Maybe it's something like The Boys (the show, not the comic). Where (almost) all the supes have some base-level super strength and durability. Didn't Waterboy get hit by a car in his comic and basically walk it off?

Robert seems to be kinda like a batman type character, no powers and more normal by comparison, needing gadgets to take on superheroes, yet is more then likely better then a non hero individual physically
Yeah, that sounds about right. Not exactly an expert martial artist, but dude can clearly still wash normal mooks outside of the suit, and can at least hold his own against lower level supes.

Oh yeah in ep 5 he held his own against a bunch of villains with powers or gadgets too, heck he had that instance he ripped the eyeball of one bare handed or bit the finger of another easily

Though, these could be possible in real life too if a person attempted? Not sure how easily any of us or anyone could do those, maybe very easy, though he does it on super powered individuals too also

Who do we think is the strongest member of the Z-Team, right now? Excluding Phenomaman, obviously..
Punch-Up, Malevola, or Flambae. Flambae's obviously got the last episodes going for him, but I don't want to fall into recency bias.

Punch-Up is literally immune to knives and has strength as his whole bit, and Malevola is pretty decent at basically everything. (Plus she has a giant sword.)

Don't know how I didn't think of this earlier, but being able to hold the Mecha-Man suit still is probably a pretty good feat for Royd, right?
