INTRO:
Before Adi Shankar's Travesty of an Anime Series, DMC Fans were getting ass-****** by another edgy western reboot - DmC: Devil May Cry. Unlike the other shitshow, this one, thankfully, never got a sequel, but this hasn't stopped it from being wanked on this site.

AP DOWNGRADE:
Currently, DmC Donte scales from Vergil who has a 7-B rating from two feats - summoning a thunderstorm in his fight with Dante and creating a massive explosion that dwarfed the nearby mountains. I am not even going to address the linked calc because it's not even evaluated.

Let's start with the easiest one: creating a massive explosion that dwarfed the nearby mountains. Yeah, this feat never happened. The feat comes from Vergil's Downfall - a DLC to the DmC: Devil Mary Cry Games which takes place in Vergil's Head. Hell, the arena where the feat takes place has a giant heart which is actually Vergil's. I think its pretty clear that this entire DLC is supposed to be a metaphorical journey about Vergil embracing his demonic nature, and as such, feats from this shouldn't be taken literally.

Now onto, summoning a thunderstorm in his fight with Dante. There is very little evidence he did this. I couldn't find anything in Official Guide to indicate he summoned the storms. He is never shown to have this power in the comics. Furthermore, we can actually hear and see the storm continuing even after Vergil leaves, further indicating that it has no relation to him. Also, even though this could fall under PIS, he is shown not using this ability when he was getting backshots from Mundus or when Mundus was about to crush him.

Given all this, I believe DmC: Devil May Cry's new AP ranking should be downgraded from 7-B to 8-C. The 8-C rating comes from the size of Mundus.

ABILTIES REMOVAL:
Given that I already have proven that Vergil's connection to the storm is tenuous at best I believe that he should lose his Electrokinesis/Weather Manipulation ability.

You'll need to determine the exact size of Mundus. Feasible it ends up 8-C, but we'll need to be sure. When that happens, I approve of the CRT.

He also mentions how Vergil is half alive and half dead, he is somewhere in the middle, which I don't know if it gives something

I'll also note he also mentions that Vergil killed part of him and became more confident as a product of it, if it is literal it could mean something, I'm sure if something like this happened in the main series people would take it literally '-'

I don't think it is, but food for thought I guess

That is the real Eva, who's been doomed to a life in hell. Rejected by the angels, who saw her as a traitor after the relationship with Sparda, she was banished and placed there for all eternity. Vergil pays her a visit.

I will happily concede that he actually met Eva and not all parts of Vergil's Downfall are in his head; however, the post you provided actually strengthen my downgrade.

Hollow Kat represents humanity, not necessarily a connection to Kat. When he "kills" her, he is in fact killing part of himself. If you think about it, Vergil is the end is half dead because he killed all these parts of himself. It's never said out loud, but he becomes Nero Angelo, or the Angel of Death, the one that can walk among the dead and the living."

"Hollow Vergil represents a personality trait of Vergil, SELF DOUBT, which he kills. Do you see how confident he becomes after killing Hollow Vergil? :) Anyway, Vergil becomes Nero Angelo (I refer to him as Nero Angelo because it translates better to Dark Angel, or Angel of Death) and returns to the world of the living. I actually wrote a possible opening for a sequel so I could write Vergil's Downfall and trace his future better."

The Mountain Explosion Feat was in the duel between Vergil and Hollow Vergil which, as explicitly stated by the Director, was his Self-Doubt. Whether or not such statements would be treated differently in Main Canon, I will leave to more knowledgeable members than me, but from my reading of this, DmC Vergil's battle with Hollow Vergil was an internal struggle not an actual battle with Mountain Explosions.
 
The DLC takes place in Hell, he literally get's salty and sad after getting defeated and dies on his mother's grave. Then falls to hell with many other damned souls falling as well.
Corrupt Vergil should keep scaling to his explosion. Although that is a stronger Vergil and shouldn't be used for backscaling for Dante.

Not gonna comment on the storm but gonna say that they shouldn't scale above the feat Mundus performed in rage while connected to Hell Gate. While final game Mundus was explicitly cut from it.

Btw Mundus's tar body should just be scaled to LS with hesitation, whatever the mass is.

Hollow doesn't mean unreal or non-physical. It should keep scaling, considering Vergil got stronger from it and gains his abilities back.
 
Also I would recommend actually getting a KE calc for Mundus’s size rather than just guessing it’s 8-C, or looking at some other feats that could be calculated

Alright, it seems most of us and the mods are in agreement that Vergil scaling to the Thunderstorm is BS. Now, Vergil's Downfall is a bit more complicated. I am still of the opinion that even if he did go to hell and met the real Eva that the main feat - the Explosion that dwarves even mountain - is too ambiguous. The Director himself confirms that Hollow Vergil was his personality trait, and he also says in that same thread that DLC is very open to interpreation. Furthermore, the whole Eva scene kinda doesn't make any sense. I mean how is she fooled by a necklace that isn't from the real Donte? How come this necklace doesn't dissapear when Vergil kills Hollow Donte? Why does she believe that Donte is actuall dead given the previous flimsy evidence? TL;DR - The DLC is just way too ambiguous and I don't think that we should take feats from it.
Furthermore, while I agree Vergil gained new powers. Hax /=/ AP. Hell, Vergil actually lost power at the beginning of the DLC, so whose to say he just didn't return to his original AP.

Also, I gotta ask, even if we consider the feat legit, why would Vergil or others scale to it physically? Does the DmC reboot have an established UES?

Leaving that aside, I agree with the storm feat's removal and with the implementation of the Mundus calc.

Finally, I wholeheartedly agree with this piece of shit verse's immediate deletion 🔥

So something like:
AP: 8-C (Fought with Mundus) | At Least 8-C (Stronger than before), possibly 7-B (Could have caused this explosion)
 
Regarding LS, would Class M just be a Mundus thing? I can’t recall either of the brothers doing anything that scales them to his LS. Correct me if I’m wrong
