Dragon Ball Z: Anime and Movies being one thing?

Yeah I know this question has probably been asked before. But why is the DBZ Toei Anime and Movies all connected on the profiles?

I’m not the most knowledgeable Dragon Ball person ever (if at all really) but from what I can tell, the movies feel super disconnected from literally everything in the anime (and I think official sources at the very least heavily imply that too)

Is there a thread or anything like that?

i think its because the manga ones are already the ones without the movies, so toei profiles just add the movies, i agree with the point of them being disconnected, but i think it is already divided in toei and manga because the anime from toei is basically the same thing as the manga
