(In my case it was just extra protection)(I guess the two of them and the grass just... ignored the wall of moths?)
"Well, let's try the ice element with one of my Shikigamis" he said, summoning Leon King, who would create a rain of localized cold ice aura on the attacker and the attacks themselves while making sure not to target his allies.A whip of bladed vegetation violently slams against his barrier, and Dan immediately sees it Crack under the pressure. It doesn't break down immediately, but the whip is winding up another attack, and it likely wouldn't survive if he didn't act

Amalie narrowly parries the incoming grass attacks.
"WHOOOOOOOS STILL WITH UUUUUUUUS? (ノ・∀・)ノ. CLEVER PEOPLE, PLAN PLEASE~~~?"
As soon as he saw the grass charging to attack them, Dakath smacked a large group of the enemies away with his bow, before grabbing Demi, and promptly dashing backward to gain some distance.
"Hey, do you think these things are magic?" he frantically asked the demoness, letting her go as soon as they were seemingly out of range from the blades of grass.
Dakath quickly realizes that his judgment wasn't the sharpest— the grass has no effective range, as it's the very environment around them, and can manifest anywhere. As he launches back, another mass of grass manifests in front of them and attempts to hit them again, with a bit less speed due to not having time to wind up an attack, but it's basically a point-blank attack.
"Only one way to find out—" Demiólke dodges to the side narrowly, getting nicked on her shoulder. She falls to the ground and immediately regains her footing, hoping Dakath was swift enough on his feet to dodge in turn.

The elf flipped himself in the air, and landed on his feet, his heart racing from the near-death experience.Chester thought as he saw Demi and Dakath's lack of reaction to the wall of moths that had just formed right in front of their eyes earlier. The swarm had managed to block and push back the majority of the grass with the portions that got past them having been thankfully fended off by Dakath. Of course, this didn't matter any longer as the grass was now practically everywhere.
"Why are they ignoring us? Are they stupid?"
"Bothersome!", the group of insects said in unison when they saw the newly formed mass of grass about to attack the scouts. They quickly flew towards Dakath and pushed him out of the way in case he couldn't avoid it in time.

"H-Holy sh*t....that was a close one!" he exclaimed, as he once again readied to fire his bow. "Demi, you’re probably going to want to hold your breath for a second; I’m about to shut down this whole damned plant!”

(Take ur time!)(Will get back to this soon, had to take a short break.)

The grass makes contact with the cold aura of the summon, and the grass begins to stiffen and freeze. This doesn't stop it's movements— but, attempting to swing as it did before causes the frozen pillar of vegetation to crack and violently break into several shards of ice that fling across the battlefield in large chunks.Well, let's try the ice element with one of my Shikigamis" he said, summoning Leon King, who would create a rain of localized cold ice aura on the attacker and the attacks themselves while making sure not to target his allies.
Basil's enhanced perception of the world, where everything slows down to a near halt and even the most minute of details are revealed, distracts him from the feeling of nausea as his mana begins to drain from the use of his skill, his assailants knocked out of the air faster than they could swing out of the way. In the corner of his eye, massive car-sized chunks of frozen vegetation fly at him.Basil stared up at the grass as it rained down upon him. Panic flushed his face a pale hue...before it was replaced with a strange acceptance.
"A test..." He muttered softly, a vocalized thought said to no one but himself. He closed his eyes, taking as deep of a breath as he could.
"Those unworthy to see your grandeur will die here. As is their fate. As is your will." Basil reached for the whip on his side, his body beginning to tense. His eyes would open suddenly, the pupils dilating within the sky-blue iris. High Noon: A technique A technique borne from unparalleled concentration, that made the very world slow to a crawl around him. In a blur of movement, he took out his whip, before unleashing several, strikes into the air above him, slapping the sharpened grass off course as if they were nothing more than falling leaves. A loud CRACK sounded mere moments after the whip connected, each motion so fast the noise was forced to lag in its wake.
The pillars of grass are, as the name implies, pillars of grass, and simply cutting through the thick collections of strengthened vegetation proved a difficult task as the blades of wind stopped at several differing points before they could fully slice through the dense pillar, and it quickly reforms. Meanwhile, giant chunks of frozen flora begin raining down on Eldrian.eldrian used wind magic to try to cut the grass
Dan freezing the whip of grass occurs a moment or two faster than the parrot can pull off its attack. By the time the parrot reaches the dense whip of vegetation, Dan has frozen it, and the thing's haphazard movements have already caused the hail of ice projectiles to violently rocket across the battlefield. The parrot, and any other nearby flying creatures, are hopelessly crushed by the giant chunks of frozen grass launching into them.Just then, one of the parrots swooped in and sliced the grass whip apart while rapidly rotating like a sawblade. It continued to spin while flying around, cutting through anything in its path with the razor sharp feathers of its wings.
Backing away does little, as like Dakath previously discovered, the range of the grass extends everywhere, as they are not creatures that live in the grass, but rather it is the plain environment itself that has weaponized itself against the party. Attempting to back away only results in another pillar shooting up to attack Dan at close range."I guess we can get out of range of this thing and try to burn it?" He suggested as he backed away.
Neltharion found that there was a "core" of sorts, hiding deep under the ground, in the form of a gross, black, beating heart-like thing that was held within a chamber she couldn't fully make out... However, destroying it was another issue all-together. Her control over the hostile environment was violently fought against by the hostile environment's control over itself, causing backlash as whenever she tried to control the earth, the earth would push back against her, exacerbating the process of her mana draining and causing her immense pain.Neltharion rolled her eyes and thrust Scaleshard into the ground to blow away all the grass around, with it and a hand, she began to use her ability to sense through the earth to detect the monster, and the instant she did, she crushed the earth around it to crush it into a tight ball... unfortunately however, this gave the half-dragon some tunnel vision on the matter.
Even parrying the incoming attacks sends deep waves throughout Amalie's entire body, making her bones rattle violently and her organs work on overdrive as they painfully vibrate. She's launched a few feet away from the parry and feels her knees painfully bend as she lands, while another attack shoots at her like a giant, green bullet."HEADCOUNT HUNNY BUNS ( `^´ )"

"Huh!?" Demi turns to Dakath while in the air, having leaped to the skies in order to avoid another narrow attack. While she's distracted by Dakath's warning, she turns back to her predicament to realize another attack was already flinging at her— she raises her bronze dagger, coated in a thick layer of crimson energy, and directly blocks the attack, getting flung backward."H-Holy sh*t....that was a close one!" he exclaimed, as he once again readied to fire his bow. "Demi, you’re probably going to want to hold your breath for a second; I’m about to shut down this whole damned plant!”

| "And there goes another one. I'll admit, her unique speech pattern was starting to grow on me. I probably could have prevented her death but ah well, the least we can do now is to save her loot!" |
Basil's eyes shifted towards the chunks of ice, watching in slow motion as the frozen vegetation hurled towards him. He crouched, fully preparing to dodge, only for them to be teleported away by means completely unknown to him. He hesitated for a moment, before slowly taking a breath, his vision returning to normal.
"Haah....Haah..." He turned his attention to his allies, raising his voice.
"Miss Amalie, do you still have your healing-" His voice was cut off, as he saw the woman disappear beneath the mass of vegetation, the familiar sound of bones crumbling into nothing reaching his ears. ".....A...Amalie...?" His gaze lingered at the pool of blood for a moment, before quickly shaking his head. The dungeon had made its judgment, he could not mourn the loss.
"...This creature must have some kind of central point. A...brain of some kind, or something that would constitute it. Has anyone found it?" He yelled out.
"The Heart Is Underground!", the parrot shouted out to them just as it saw Neltharion jumped into the air and prepared to devastate the terrain.Dan opens a door behind him where he and his Shikigami reposition themselves out of range of any close limbs, however upon exiting he notices one of his companions being killed .
"Shit, we're falling like flies" he said angry
"Any plan? I dont want my attacks backfire again more since this thing span across a this zone"
"Watch Out! Watch Out! Watch Out! Watch Ou-", it repeatedly warned until she struck the ground."Damn--" Neltharion cursed quietly, before dashing back, using her shield to tank the crystals she didn't dodge with her movement.
Under normal circumstances, Neltharion would yell to her companions, but none of them held a control over the earth as she did, and maybe didn't have the destructive capacity necessary to hit that accursed heart... Giving very little true thought on the matter, Neltharion used her memory of where it was, and lept, feeling the air whistling past her head, which was still slightly pounding from the previous attempt failing, and the pain from being down in this place didn't help...
And with a blast of mana that flashed red, it happened, Neltharion closed her eyes to keep herself from getting motion-sick. Devastation here would send her into a flipsaw, with her hope being that once she impacted the earth she'd either blaze right through it with Scaleshard and destroy the black heart of this creature, or shed at least blast apart the earth enough to expose it!
