Establishing combat skill requirements

The way I remember this, our members are supposed to still write combat skill explanations within the intelligence sections if they wish, just without any definitive intelligence statistics assigned to them. So explanations without statistics basically.

Is that correct, @DontTalkDT ? 🙏
That's what I understood as well and been encouraging people to do.

Thats right its done via a seperate kinda scrollbox in the intelligence section like this

That looks good to me.

Basically, the combat skill explanation texts can remain then, but the assigned intelligence statistics for them should be removed. 🙏

So should we post and possibly highlight some kind of announcement thread about this? 🙏

Can somebody write a draft text for what the announcement thread should say, please? (I can usually improve a bit on the text flow afterwards.) 🙏

Combat Skill has officially been set to not use our Intelligence ratings for a variety of reasons, this announcement is to say that such ratings on profiles will use the following format in source code:

{{Border|Scroll=No|Visible=Yes|Padding=Yes|Content=
<tabber>
|-|General=Use standard format for intelligence, including bolding the ratings, putting the justification into parentheses, and using proper punctuation such as commas and periods.
|-|Skill=Put a list of skill feats here, preferably using proper punctuation such as commas and periods.
</tabber>
}}

Hmm. It needs to be expanded upon in a clarifying manner to become more easily understood by our community as a whole.

Also, is the scroll box necessary in addition to the tabber? 🙏

I am tired and will soon be hospitalised. Maybe others here are willing to help you out in the meantime? 🙏

I disagree with forcing a tabber-based format. I think it can look quite good and less overcomplicated (let's not forget that tabbers don't show up on mobile) with a bullet point sometimes, and in particular if there's only a few quick things to say about a character's skill a tabber is overkill. Not to say tabbers aren't fine but it shouldn't be the only way, I'd dislike that.

Then show a profile with a bullet point-based format, and I'll stick it in. Not hard to show multiple formats.

Check the hyperlink.
Here's another one.

Wow that's a cool profile I wonder what handsome fellow wrote it

I also do not think that we should force our members to use a single format, just inform them about our new rules for this issue, and include a link to our official wiki rule text (Has this been handled yet?) in conjunction.

Btw: My surgery is over now, and it seems to have gone well, so I can hopefully highlight an announcement thread for this issue soon. 🙏
