I don't think they do that with GI's profiles, for example, Mavuika has a lot of non-straight intertextual references with Hi3rd Himeko but i guess we don't assume she is an iteration of said character.

Yea but what Venti and Wendy only have is their appeareance and their status, while Asmoday x Kiana, Yae Miko x Sakura, and Ei x Mei have more than that; the fact that their name is similar, appereance is like 11/12, and most importantly of them all, they all have the same Voice Actors in Japanese.

Maybe because those three are exceptions? Both Ei and Miko share the same names to their pre-existing counterparts while Asmoday was considered another Kiana version as said by the devs.
