Gir Revisions

So Gir's profile is in need of revisions, IMO.

The profile's claim for Gir being 9-A just for having lasers and other built-in weapons makes no sense, and doesn't provide any other justifications outside of that. His speed should also be calced, and he's missing a few powers:

-Inorganic Physiology (he's a robot)

-Type 2 Immortality (Survived losing his head, and his body can function without his head)

-X-Ray Vision

-Magnetism

-Possible Low-Mid Regenerationn (Lost his arm only to get a new one offscree)

-Asexual Reproduction (Laid eggs that hatched into robot birds)

A respect thread was made for Gir, and that should help with figuring out his tier.

That was part of the virtual reality Zim had put Dib in so he could find out who threw the muffin at him. Everything that happens in it technically isn't canon.

The entire verse needs a huge cleanup tbh. We also should probably include feats from the comics (and a few feats from the canceled episodes as they later follow throughout the series, like Mini Moose for example). But for now; this is just Gir.

Which by the way, should Gir get a huge intelligence buff while locked in Duty mode?

If it helps for finding the Tier, most of the Invader Zim characters are able to survive Tier 8/7 stuff, including;

At 0:8:30, Dib gets launched into a slowly expanding explosion which causes it to expand faster and destroy the city, and both Zim and Dib survived it.
Professor Membrane's arms can make blasts that yield this amount of energy.
At 07:41, Everybody survives the burst of a city-sized water balloon, and Dib took it head-on.
Dib and Zim recovers from being launched into the sun, Dib even remembers it happening.
Professor Membrane makes a crater in the ground with this much force.

Do you think Gir should have an extra key, that being where he is locked into Duty Mode? Or when he had full control of Zim's house?

For Duty Mode, I'd say yes as it gives Gir an entirely new mind set and he gains the ability to drain people's brains and such. As for him controlling Zim's house I also would say yes as Gir would be able to do all of the things the house would be able to do, including draining power from other machines, etc.

Yeah, I agree. He should have separate keys for those. Duty Mode has his best intelligence and has him willing to kill.

Mhm, for his intelligence... I'd say maybe Genius to Extraordinary Genius via Being vastly superior to Zim and actually coming up to the conclusion that he is in fact a threat to the mission and to all others around him. He has seen through all of Zim's flaws and downfalls. Further more, he managed to obtain massive amounts of knowledge on Humans just so he can take over the Earth.

Most of them are canonically below average? Given that someone brought up numerous characters surviving devastating events in this very thread, what is the basis of your claim? Not that I don't believe you. I wouldn't be surprised if it is the case, but my limited understanding says there's reason to believe otherwise.

Ah yes. I definitely don't disagree with that. (Although if there is an official source backing it up, great; Maybe not all humans in the setting are like that, all the time, everywhere, etc. But I doubt it.)
