So Tao doesn't resist Poison Manip and Rathalos isn't dumb so he'll try to either burn him alive, Poison him or a combination of the two.

And he gets stronger when he gets enraged, plus his bite attacks deal burn damage.

I was gonna say this should be Flame Rathalos but noticed Base Rathalos was specified.

What Soul said. Is not that big, but Rathalos has the AP advantage, flame stuff and poison on his side, and like most monsters in MH it is quite a smart predator and not just a dumb animal.

Range is the only advantage Tao has here, but that could only be a factor if he somehow managed to hurt Rathalos so much that the latter would resort to attacking from the sky. Which probably wouldn't happen. Voting Rathalos.

I'm not sure why Tao Pai Pai is considered baseline here, or near it. Do you know how much more powerful one's arm is compared to their tongue? Fracturing someone's skull with your tongue casually is basically the absolute epitome of "Casual as all hell"

General Blue scales on dura a tad below 4 tons. We would need to assume tao is 6 times above, however casual his feat was. We would need to assume even more than this for him not to be at an AP disadvantage since Rathalos gets stronger when enranged, plus getting faster.

Wasn't Tao supposed to be downgraded. I made a thread about it and like 5 different staff members agreed to downgrade him. He stomps someone not even high 8-C+ meanwhile we have a character that stomped a high 8-C+ character due to the mere shockwave of their attack and that character is just high 8-C+.
