Mostly gameplay to me. The story is good when you look at it as a whole and manage to piece it together, but so much of it happens off screen to the point where the main game's story isn't all that impressive compared. I wish Gunvolt Chronicles could expand more on these plotlines that are offscreen, like a Viper game, QUILL/Asimov game, and Nova game. The story makes these Septimal powers seem like they have more impact on the world than just physical power, but have political affects too. But on a extra note, GV is just so damn cool in his design and abilities, and his mission based things. The gameplay really makes it feel like you are not just travelling through a stage to beat a boss, but to ACTUALLY achieve a mission to accomplish, while I wish they gave you actual indication that you completed the mission as supposed to just running through it, the game really gives the atmosphere that you really are on a mission to achieve a goal that is essential to victory in the end, rather than just going there to beat up a boss, with Briefings, Communication Lines, Backup Support, even the missions themselves reflect what the goal is, such as investigation of an area or inflitration to destroy a data center. It's like being a super spy agent, but with electrical powers
