Hajime Luck Addition/Question

I've actually gotten divisive opinions on this.

Would Hajime/Izuru inherit Makoto Naegi's luck? It's a given that he inherits Komaeda's but Naegi's luck is a whole different beast.

Komaeda's luck always just makes things go his way, no matter what. It's predictable like that so Junko was able to predict it.

Naegi's luck on the other hand is different. Besides the fact that it only saves him during the most dire of situations, it's also capable of drastically altering another person's luck.

"Jutarou Akafuku failed for one reason, and one reason only: Makoto Naegi's bad luck was more powerful than his own good luck. Up against Makoto's preposterously bad luck, Jutarou's carefully laid plans were of no use. As desperately as he tried to eliminate chance as a factor, it was all in vain. No amount of hard work or raw talent was enough to overcome such an enormous, overwhelming degree of misfortune."

Naegi's luck is so shit that it actually makes other people's luck as shit. Akafuku tried to eliminate chance being a factor for his plans however Naegi's luck forced chance to be a factor. And judging by that narration, not even talent should be able to stop Naegi's luck from ******* people over (which would imply that something like Komaeda's luck wouldn't be enough to stop Naegi's luck).

The thing is I'm iffy on this because

It'd directly contradict Nagito's good luck, which Izuru has proven to have, while with Naegi it's just assumed because he's a student of Hope's Peak, however I don't think the scientists on the Izuru Kamukura project would give Izuru extremely bad luck if he was meant to be the Ultimate Hope. Naegi's still the Ultimate Lucky Student after all, so they might have added in the more beneficial parts of Naegi's luck. But still, it's bad luck.

So, thoughts?

he should have both.. if another lucky dude existed... then that as well.... because according to JaRB all people with there with the SHSL talents have been resaerched

Akafuku hasn't gone to Hope's Peak, he's just naturally really lucky.

Well, no. Komaeda's luck is the shitty one compare to Naegi's.

Komaeda's luck works like this:

"Nagito possesses a cycle of consistent good and bad luck. Whenever something extremely lucky happens to him, something extremely unlucky is bound to happen soon after. While the talent seems to protect him from death, it can cause him great suffering and has killed many people around him."

History(examples):

"Nagito was born into a rich family, in the 28th day of the fourth month, with his birth month representing bad luck and death while his birthday represents a double amount of wealth and fortune according to old Japanese and Chinese beliefs. He was born with an extraordinary type of luck, and as a result, his life has always been shaped around moments of extremely good luck and extreme bad luck. The earliest known occurrence of this is when his pet dog was killed after being hit by a truck. His relationship with his parents is unclear; he mentions that they took him to an amusement park, but he also mentions offhand that his mother never complimented his appearance.

When he was only an elementary school student, Nagito and his parents went on a family vacation at San Cristóbal Island in the Gal├ípagos archipelago. When the vacation was at an end, the family boarded an airplane leaving from the San Cristóbal Airport. However, the plane ended up being hijacked. Both the hijacker and Nagito's parents were killed in front of him after a small meteor crashed into the airplane, leaving him to inherit all of his parents' fortune and become free to do whatever he wished, as he had no other living relatives.

After his parents' death, during middle school, Nagito was kidnapped by a serial killer; he was released after the police found him (it was implied that the killer let him go after they found out nobody would pay the ransom). As a form of good luck, Nagito had discovered a lottery ticket in the garbage bag the murderer kidnapped him in: a winning ticket for three million yen."

These are quotes from Komaeda's wiki.

Naegi's luck is incredibly bad, which makes other people's luck bad.

Komaeda's luck is incredibly good, but as a consequence he gives everyone he cares about bad luck.

It kinda stacks really.

Nagito's bad luck has never really directly damaged him. It more damages the people he cares about, he never really loses money but his parents will die.

Plus Hajime should be able to somewhat control both of their lucks anyways.

There is a lot more uncertainty when it comes to Naegi's luck. But what is certain, is that no harm will come to him. Even against powerful Ultimates trying to kill him.

Mentally, Komaeda's luck has damaged him greatly. His luck even allowed him getting brainwashed by Junko and as a result, cutting his hand off.

Naegi's luck has some bullshit victories too, like his main villain easily suicidal at a single loss or his soul mate surviving when everyone else is dying around him or that he was the one who found the Ultimate Despairs to put them into the Neo World Program to (successfully) clear them of the brainwash.

Just like PaP963, he should have Naegi's. If he's in Hope's Peak, it should have been researched.

The thing here is that, Naegi's luck just does whatever it wants that is good for its host. Even if it's seemingly "bad" luck, from outside the picture.

The more you think about it, those bad things happened to Naegi only happened just to mess with Akufuku, burn the application papers and be in Hope's Peak.

Or, like at first Chapter of the game, his bathroom doorknob isn't fit properly, bad luck. But someone died, and it got used as evidence to prove his innocence, now it's good luck for him.

but Nagito.. eh.

EDIT: Well, it really doesn't conflict, if it does, Izuru can control it.
