Like, sure, Superman can see things moving at the speed of light in real-time, and he can even see sub-atomic particles. But how's he do that? What input is going into his retina that allows him to see things moving at the speed of light? Is there some kinda fast-light that lets people see the slow-light? And for that matter, what FTL soundwave is able to reach him while he's in space?

I see what you're getting at here, but none of those really address what input he's receiving.

"People say kids can't understand the difference between fact and fiction, but that's bullshit. Kids understand that real crabs don't sing like the ones in The Little Mermaid. But you give an adult fiction, and the adult starts asking really ******* dumb questions like 'How does Superman fly? How do those eyebeams work? Who pumps the Batmobile's tires?' It's a ******* made-up story, you idiot! Nobody pumps the tires!"
- Grant Morrison, DC Comics' highest authority

Never said you are. Just saying that some things have no explanation. This the fantasy of fiction, where anything can happen.

I didn't say you said I was I was saying I'm just a baby boy who's only four years old and I gotta disagree with Morrison there. IDK nothing about the difference between fact and fiction, I gotta know.

Utterly detestable thread, honestly, what were you even thinking when you made it? You may be right in the philosophical/literary sense, but when we use rock-solid science your argument gets blown to smithereens. Please, consider this.

Of course there are many things in fiction that are unexplained or unknown. But that doesn't mean it isn't fun to still ask questions and fill in the gaps ourselves. That's kinda why this site exists lol
