Are we allowed to start/add a new profile for new characters? If so, how and does it need to be approved? Because im interested in starting one for a series or 2 if possible

How to start a profile

Anyone can make a profile for a character or verse.
For a character, follow the Standard Format for Character Profiles.
For a verse, just check out any of the more popular verse pages and follow the format of those.

When creatingn a profile from scratch, how do you go about putting down stats and tiers when you don't have a massive stack of feats and calcs laying around for every possible part of the profile? Is it enough to put down something you think is reasonable with a short explenation and then have the accuracy get improved over time by people coming in with feats and calcs later? Or should you not start a profile until you have evidence for everything thats needed to fill out a profile in one go?

possibly put it as "unknown, possibly _____" then give an explanation why and then just ask people if it seems legitimate and if not, have them help you. It would be well to get it in one go, but there's no one expecting another to get it flawlessly.
