I've heard that Togashi's wife may eventually take over the series, and continue it from there. So don't lose hope for its continuation. If I recall correctly, she's the one who created Sailor Moon.

Hmm, that's interesting but considering HxH is pretty dark, I'm kinda worried. The series tackle Genocide and other dark themes, and that is one of the reasons HxH is regarded by many as one of the best shounen anime of all time in the first place.
