The Epilogue is an ability which bypasses resistances, a being could exist that resists that, but the Epilogue nonetheless bypasses resistances again, that's what we have been talking about the whole time.

I mean, we need to have baseline before talking about layer. From what i saw, Epilogue is have resistance neg so it is baseline, for it to have 1 layer, it need to affect someone who already resist resistance negation on 1-A level

That's because such a being simply does not exist in IaP's current story, because then it'd be confusing to tell how exactly it "resisted" Epilogue in any way, shape or form. We'd just have to take the character's words for it if such a scenario ever happened.

Plus, I personally feel like it doesn't really work as well because it feels more like a byproduct of its 1A status rather than an actual hax.

The author seems to think the Epilogue is an ability which will stand at the end in all conditions, and even they don't know how to defeat it, so even if you introduced a new condition of a 1-A being, it would still nonsensically be above.

But yea I can see why people would think this is just all due to the Epilogue being 1-A.
