Infinite in a late-game cutscene apparently created a miniature star. Would that put him at Low 4-C or so and consequently Sonic and people who scale to him?
Infinite, honestly, is completely featless (Minus scaling). He stomps Sonic at the beginning of the game, but eventually Sonic (Base form, mind you) defeats him almost single-handedly.
The story is almost non-existent. Along with the usual cheesy and terrible songs. Fist Bump sounds like nails on a chalk-board and a rip-off of Avengers Fight as One at the same time.
Classic Sonic showing up makes no sense. Also, according to Tails, he's from a parallel dimension, even though he's just Sonic from the past.
I absolutely hate the voice acting. Especially characters like Shadow, Knuckles, and Amy. Tails is bearable. But Roger Craig Smith as Sonic makes me wanna rip my ears off.
"Badass Decay: Infinite himself gets this within a single game! His first appearance has him defeating Sonic incredibly easily, and was practically the reason why Eggman took over the world... But as soon as Sonic is back in the game, his threat level goes down immediately. He gets defeated by Sonic, then gets beaten by the Avatar, then finally loses to Sonic and the Avatar. He doesn't even get a satisfying end, as Eggman shows up after the final fight with him and does... something to him that reduces him to fodder in the villain clone army. Partially justified, as the Avatar gets a prototype Phantom Ruby Silver knocked off Infinite that can counter his powers, and proximity to it weakens the Phantom Ruby. Infinite even outright says the Phantom Ruby is weakened during the final battle with him (though he also says that it's recharged halfway through the fight)."
His Origin isn't even revealed until the whooping 20 Minute long Shadow DLC. Where it is revealed he went crazy because Shadow made fun of him one time.
You know what would make a cool Sonic game for once?
Pulling a Fleetway and making Super Sonic a split personality that is the embodiment of chaos itself. Bent on killing everything it sees. Rather than make it a knock-off Super Saiyan.
Black Doom, Neo Metal Sonic and Mephiles have proved to be better villains than Infinite:
- Infinite BFR's Sonic and Avatar in a dimension, which they quickly found an exit.
- Infinite Sun done via summoning is High 5-A at best, which was warped away by a Phantom Ruby prototype. Infinite lost to the combined forces of Sonic and the Avatar. Limiters Off Shadow could have handled him as well and then saying to him that he is weak again.
- Shadow Illusions [By extent the others] were stated to be as strong as the original by Knuckles, this is contraddicted by Shadow oneshotting one of them with a kick. Later we see Shadow moving and easily destroy several illusions, and even the weaker Mobians were shown to handle them.
At least those guys had some kind of connection to other characters, or at least was the MAIN VILLAIN.
Infinite was a random mercenary who got his ass kicked by Shadow, and then completely disappeared from the story after getting his ass kicked again by characters who should be weaker than him.
All so we can have another final boss against Eggman.
Sonic Forces has 13 new stages [Not counting reskins] that last 2/3 minutes and 5 bosses [Not counting Infinite rematch] vs Shadow the Hedgehog 22 stages that last long [Lost Impact for example] and 8 bosses.
