...In that case, how prone is Jose to range? If he gets close, Koichi will just pull act 3 and give him the 3 freeze.

He prefers medium range as he keeps the advantage of his ranged attacks, but obviously close enough for his stand to actually work, so he usually goes around his opponent 10 meters away. If he is fighting a short ranged stand user and picks that up during the fight, he'll probably stay futher back and try Penny Link Lightning.

Edit: But he hasn't dealt with Stands with Acts so when Koichi pulls out Act 1 or 2, Jose will be caught off guard for sure.
