KE of ftl feats

This is just a general question, I don't actually have an example of this, I just want to know how it would be judged if something like this occurred in the future.

If a verse has been explicitly stated to not follow the theory of relativity,or to have a higher speed of light (c) then our universe does, could a feat that would be ftl in our universe be calced with KE?

It would have to specify how else one would want to do physics, which will hardly ever happen. It also brings up the question if 1 kg or 1 joule in that verse would be the same as in another, given that such units are or can be defined using the speed of light.

It basically makes every calc for such a verse questionable, given that we are basically told to not apply the "physics works accurate in all fiction as far as explainable" assumption on the verse.
