I knew someone would do this...

Always, I know about both verses so I can talk about the fight.

Meruem gets ****ed up badly.

For Meruem to do his skill jank, he needs time to understand a person's Rhythm and biases. It's not like Meruem can look at someone and can immediately predict them. However, the time Meruem needs to understand Muzan's Rhythm would be far too long before he gets vaporized. Muzan can slice Meruem once and that's kinda the match. Meruem can't do anything against that, especially when it's In-Character for him to throw himself at his opponent to figure out their bias. Meruem would get himself sliced multiple times and kinda just die. This is not mentioning Muzan's BFR and Electricity Manip, but I really don't think there's a lot to say about this match. It's pretty open and shut imo.

I think Meruem gets Stomped tbh. He has no way to get past Muzan's Regen and gets killed pretty quickly. It's not even like I'm underselling Meruem. The King has some pretty cool stuff, it's just that Muzan's win conditions are so stupidly OP that you either need resistance to them or Hax the **** out of Muzan to win. I'd suggest putting Meruem vs Kaneki. That's a better fight imo, but I'm not sure if there's any Hunter x Hunter supporters around.

i agree
but how does muzan see nen
or does he not have to

What's preventing Meruem from nen crushing Muzan? He doesn't have resistances to it going by his profile.

The Madness Inducement comes from the Fear Induce, no?

Meruem doesn't use Ren Crush in a fight anyways.
No.

He definitely uses ren, it's a basic component of nen fights and there's no reason for him not to use it when he's already shown that he can and is a nen master innately, which is mentioned on his profile.

In like the one serious fight Meruem had (if even that), he never used Ren. You can look at his fight against Netero and Netero didn't once get Fear Haxed and Madness Induced. It's actually more in-character for Meruem to start with En or Pressure Points before he does Ren.

But you're talking about Post-Rose Meruem. This is Pre-Rose. Meruem's Ren isn't at the level of causing Madness yet.

He did, this is him using ren against Netero

It's stated on his profile that he both can and has used it before
Nen Manipulation (Emitter - Meruem is the most powerful Nen user seen in the series, he was born with an aura quantity and output exceeding that of the Royal Guards in no small degree. He was born capable of all the basic and advanced techniques instinctively. He defeated Netero without a combative Hatsu. His potential in Nen is described as limitless), Enhanced Fear Manipulation (His Ren was so powerful it made Netero, Zeno & Pitou feel as though time had stopped, Reactive Evolution & Power Modification (Meruem can develop new abilities and improve them in a very short time being able to improve Pouf's and Youpi's abilities making them more practical and being able to use them on the first try), Power Absorption (By consuming a Nen user, he grows stronger, and if he eats enough, can also receive Nen abilities from the victim), Regeneration (Low-Mid with consumption)
And we don't need to be explicitly shown or told if it's being used, as I mentioned, it's a basic component of nen and fighting in general, pretty much all nen users use it to make themselves stronger and more durable constantly.

Netero didn't get fear or madness haxed because he's one of the strongest nen users on the planet and because ten inherently gives protection against ren, that was the point of Gon and Killua learning it so that Hisoka's ren wouldn't kill them.

Releasing his aura and preparing to fight is his first move, that's what the image I posted above is.

Everything I've said is for pre-Rose Meruem. Meruem's aura and proficiency scales above his Royal Guard (this is stated on his profile) who already caused very skilled nen users to go insane and try to kill themselves via their ren.

Madness Manipulation (Type 3) and limited Age Manipulation (Some superior users, such as the Royal Guards, have shown to break the spirt of even great hunters and make them comit suicide due to the fear of a fate worse than death, physically aging the target), Statistics Amplification (Ren also enhances physical characteristics)
I'm voting for Meruem here, there's nothing Muzan can do to prevent being nen crushed, though since it's a passive win, that probably makes it a stomp.

Voting for Meruem here. Besides the regeneration, there's not much Muzan can offer here. Sure he has infinite stamina too, but Meruem has never shown an upper limit to his stamina either, so I don't see Muzan exhausting Mereum out before daytime. Meanwhile Meruem can either Nen crush him, or just keep him busy until sunrise. I'll assume Ryu and Ko are restricted here, since the OP only mentions a 4.69x AP advantage, but with them it turns into a 47x advantage for Meruem, which is deep stomp territory.

The matchup is cool and all but does he actually not have an answer to getting giga stomped by passive nen crush

And how long does it take till nen crush fully cooks someone
I'm not sure. I guess it depends on who's using it on who. For example chimera ant soldiers were naturally able to resist it against some hunters, and had prolonged fights with them before getting affected, or just got killed off before the Nen crush. But stronger characters have been shown immediately freezing up, aging and going mad when under pressure by stronger aura. It's kind of a vague concept, but I'd say it depends on how resistant the victim is, and how much aura the Nen user is producing. If I had to make a guess, assuming Meruem actually chooses to fight, I'd give Muzan maybe a few minutes before feeling affected? Maybe the OP should just restrict it, if that's even possible.

Yeah it is and it’s only because of the passive nen crush
It would've been a stomp either way if Ryu and Ko aren't restricted. Maybe a better option would've been to un-equalize speed? Because at that point you could argue Muzan would get his blood inside Meruem before getting Nen crushed.

What about prior knowledge of nen crush

Idk. Would muzan’s summoning help here
You mean summoning the Kizuki or smth? I guess Enmu and Nakime might be win cons for Muzan. Either BFR him or put him to sleep. But the weaker the demons are, the faster they'll get Nen crushed. idk might be a good matchup

You know I completely forgot I never published Muzan’s buff LMAO
