Is holding an attack with a shield or other things directly can be counted as lifting strength?

Lifting the shield and blocking a weapon are lifting strength whether due to the weight of either objects yeah. Technically catching a strong punch with your hand would be lifting strength in RL physics are taken into account, but when it comes to common practices on VSBW, it would be considered Calc Stacking. So we avoid trying to calculate force by dividing joules/AP value by distance. Though, blocking attacks from giant characters or giant weapons are something we could treat as lifting strength.

Soo say holding a physical attack that is 100 megatons by a shield is not lifting strength right?

An AP value can't be LS on its own.

A hundred megatons is almost always referred to in an explosive sense, never a mass sense.

If it is a metric tons statement however, whether you hold it up with a shield or your bare hands, makes no difference. A shield can't amp LS on its own, it'd be a dura feat for the shield and an LS feat for whoever is holding up debris with said shield.

How to scale to weight of the object?
