Lightspeed Flash vs Scizor

Had this match on my mind for a while, simply because it seems like a... really technical match. Execution focused, you know?

Neither side seems to have much game-changing hax, & it would seem like a real up close fight that'd be entertaining to see. But that's just my imagination & hopes. What about an actual analysis?

Well, Flashy Flash has... uhh...

  • Flowing Shadow Feet (µÁüÕ¢▒ÞäÜ,): By moving even faster than usual, Flash creates a series of afterimages which blend together in a blurred band, making it difficult to predict where his next attack will come from.

And a few sort of acrobatic, flashy techniques. So he can make afterimages by moving fast. Assuming this trick works, well.... Scizor might know this trick & that's where another question comes in:

Scyther learns Wing Attack, Double Team, Air Slash, & Vacuum Wave. Scizor doesn't. But if Scizor does know of Double Team, it might be a bit wiser to this trick, which could help it discern fakes from the real thing.

Having access to Air Slash & Vacuum Wave would also be useful. Other than Razor Wind, a charged up attack, Scizor has almost no range.

In actual combat, Flashy Flash is experienced with fighting with a sword & unarmed, as well as attacking with not just his forelimbs like Scizor, but also his legs. But beyond those skills, his tricks are limited.

So what can he do, other than exercise his skill at using more limbs & a sword to fight? Well....

Su It uses its wings to adjust its body temperature. Otherwise, its metal body would become too hot and melt in the heat of battle.
If he takes notice that Scizor isn't using its wings to fly much, if at all, & in-fact, would be flapping them even when it's on the ground or idle, it might cue him in that it's constantly using them like that for a reason, keying him into remove them, since Scizor's constantly flapping its wings.

His stamina is also Unknown, compared to Scizor's "High". IMHO, Lightspeed/Flashy Flash is basically depending on:

1. POSSIBLE advantages in intelligence, stamina, & skill in general fighting.

2. Skill with using a sword & more than limbs.

3. Afterimages tricks that Scizor may or may not understand itself, especially given information about Scizor's pre-evolution, Scyther:

Red With ninja-like agility and speed, it can create the illusion that there is more than one.
Blue
4. Learning of & taking out Scizor's wings, & then hoping for a win by attrition thanks to the issue of Scizor overheating -& thus, losing stamina &/or such- without its wing-based ventilation.

However, Scizor, while lacking in hax, still has many things that cause problems for Lightspeed/Flashy Flash:

For one, do we know the durability of Lightspeed/Flashy Flash's sword? It was broken when Saitama casually tried to pull it out of some caved in rocks underground. Be it being bent against crushed rocks, or being entirely accidentally broken by someone currently rated as "Unknown" to "5-B", who was trying to SAFELY retrieve it, I'm not sure his sword might hold up in prolonged combat.

This is especially true thanks to Scizor's AP boosting with Swords Dance. I doubt that sword is anywhere close to 5-B durability, but an "At Least 7-A" with stat amping & Focus Energy & Night Slash, which arguably can make Scizor more likely to hit weak points means that it's likely to break that sword, if it's not damaging Lightspeed/Flashy Flash himself.

I don't know how Quick Attack, Bullet Punch & Feint function in a Speed Equalized match, outside of Feint likely breaking defenses, but they could have some utility.

Metal Claw might rarely boost AP, Pursuit could deal more damage if "Flash" tries a "tactical retreat" or such. Iron Head could flinch, & Fury Cutter hits harder with each successful blow.

Leer can also help with offenses.

And Iron Defense can amp Scizor's durability, which, assuming they have similar or equal stats, makes a big difference in a match that's mostly a "damage race".

Nevermind the possibility of Scizor's claws just clamping down & seizing Flash's sword, if not holding it to keep Flash while he grips it to try & keep him close & less mobile.

Flash's speed isn't helpful in a speed equalized match, & while his fighting skill & skill in using not only forelimbs but legs, too gives him some edge, offensive & defensive stat amping & even limited range help Scizor compensate for that. His afterimage technique is only useful if Scizor doesn't recall afterimage creation, which lore & moves suggest it would know about AT LEAST when it was a Scyther, if not now as a Scizor. Even without Scizor knowing or having that skill itself, it can only do so much.

Honestly, it's dubious, but I think Scizor's limited -but comparatively versatile- set of options would actually let it overcome Flash's skills & few tricks, even without knowing Double Team &/or having Vacuum Wave &/or Air Slash.

Swords Dance, Iron Defense, & Leer, as well as perhaps Focus Energy offer potent statistics manipulation here that could give Scizor an edge in just trying to beat down Flash.

Razor Wind is also a ranged offense. Even as a charged attack, range may not be something Flash has.

I vote Scizor, Medium-High Difficulty.
