Lookism Discussion Thread

Btw, the reason I'm not yet indexing the unique skills is that I don't know how to describe them. I'd say they're a combination of the masteries, but they don't really offer any general advantage since each one has its own unique benefit (besides being supposed to be "unique").

It would be very helpful to get scans showing the origins of the mastery or at least some explanation. PTJ has had them for years and still hasn't fully explained how they work 🥀
We will probably figure out the second body mystery before PTJ ever properly explains mastery 😔

Probably best to not make a tabber for it and just make a one line note. There’s no commonality with unique skill besides just needing 1 mastery (Can’t even say 2 because one of Paecheons unique skill was just stacking endurance on endurance).

After this, I have to think about what to do with CQC or Wild Instinct. CQC has almost as many users as the mastery version, and Wild Instinct has a problem: besides not being a mastery, we're not entirely clear on who its users are. I don't know if we would count Ryuhei or even Gun and Shingen's True Ultra Instinct.

Normally I wouldn’t include CQC but since we’ve given it a 3x multiplier, I say we should. IA should count imo but nothing else for now.

(I would’ve said regular UI but besides Gukja from Questism and Shintaro, we technically never even saw a regular UI user lol as technically both Daniel’s work differently and Gun + Shingens were born with it allowing them to access TUI. Unless we want a UI tabber stating all 3 different versions?)

Ultra Instinct is more complex than it seems, as Daniel's UI actually shares elements with the normal UI (remember that it's still incomplete/unmastered), but his UI reuses the talents he already has, like copying or perfect techniques. Even so, I agree that there aren't enough users to justify a separate tab.

Gun is known for overusing his stamina, yet he kept dodging Goo, and when an attack proved too much, like Johan's, he still dodged. I'd say it was more about the situation. You know that guy does everything for the love of the game.
I think he dodged Goo in UI mode, since Goo mentioned that Gun that he knows doesn't dodge. Or maybe Gun doesn't dodge an attack conciously and let the opponent give their all. Also reminds me, which generation Gun even belongs to.

He also did it while conscious, using his Tonfa technique. Btw, Gun belongs to generation 1.5, but if PTJ changes that somehow, it will most likely belong to generation 2.

When does MK take place in Lookism, is it before or after?
It's difficult to define where they are currently, however I think it happens after the third subsidiary, because MK already has a Path and I think before HFBD it didn't have one.

After filling my whole Insta dm with lookism (my feed fked up now, gotta reset my feed........ Yes it's possible to reset feed), you now here. You will be bored with this verse in some days.
I have been reading it for a year by now and still insterested (and more than before at that) even after 600+ chptrs. Hard to say i will be bored.

I will just refill your insta the moment you reset 😈

Not sure if there’s a consensus for this, I believe it’s something we should discuss.
Yeah, I see that a lot of fans don't believe he does. I personally believe he does as he said in Hunt for Gun Arc, he was forging a path and in season 2, it looked like he finally completed his technique, but I won't argue too hard as Season 2 MK is technically undefeated right now too so any path narrative won't change anything lol

Btw, the reason Gun got so injured in HFG arc could be because he doesn't dodge, while UI dodges attacks if possible.
The state Gun’s left in because he refuses to dodge a 10-B character’s jab induced with conceptual hax

We have more LS and AP feats from Doom (Chapter 231):
At least wall level (y)

Though to be serious, for the AP Feat, unless we can get a good panel for estimating Doom's height, I feel like it would be a big underestimate to assume an average male height for him as the length, width, and thickness could all increase the bigger Doom's height is.

Doom is taller than Hansu Seong and Manager Kim. I recall reading that Manager Kim was approximately 1.78 meters tall, so Doom must be at least 1.80 meters tall (besides, Shin, the soldier in the background, is also taller than Manager Kim and still shorter than Doom). Perhaps we can assume a height of 1.85 meters?

Rather than assuming, is there a panel of Doom either next to MK or Hansu?

MK 231
It looks like he only knocked down one door, but in reality, it seems he ripped out a whole row.
Quick question because I don't actually read Manager Kim, are they fighting at a military base? Trying to find the material of the wall Doom destroyed.

I couldn't find it.
I clicked on the wrong chapter. My bad, it's chapter 230.
If it gets accepted, technically the best feat of the series if we treat MK as a stand-alone
Technically yes, but since the verse has a connection to the Lookism scale, most of it is 9-A to 9-A+. Although there are some characters whose feats need to be calculated, but I'll leave that for another time.
