If Madara doesn't start with genjutsu off the bat (which he doesn't. I think he used it like twice canonically), then he gets one shot. Izanagi? One shot again.

If madara is indeed by himself then madara stomp by genjutsu while this madara has kurama so not only the chances of his first move is genjutsu is lowered, but the chance of whitebeard use his quake also got higher

WB doesn't have anything akin to chakra either, which means Madara won't be able to use the Sharingan to gauge his strength, and deduce that genjutsu is his only chance.
