Before you start calling this a stomp:
The Blind Idiot God, Master of all Creation and Destruction........
Battle takes place in Luigi´s dream combined with Azathoth´s dream (Luigi is sleeping on the Ultibed in the Pi´illo Kingdom, which allows Mario & Luigi to interact with Azathoth more easily).
Mario & Luigi also have everything they may have had before until right now.
Even if just waking up Azathoth destroyed all of Cthulhu Mythos, as Luigi would be sleeping by that time, they should have enought time to leave before all of it is destroyed, but I may be wrong, so feel free to debate it.
