Are you really comparing Trifas LLT to Reinhards? LLT has been shown to be weaker or stronger depending on its user and their state of being.

LLT at its peak (So in the hands of IB or Unsealed DI Rein) can wash away Mercs law and kill 1-As.

Hell theres also the potential for Outliers or PIS to let someone survive peak LLT.

and if you are reffering to the fight against Methusalah, it only says "it feels like it is meant to wash away the old world", if memory serves


"feels" isnt a statement of fact and that is said by willhelm, who is an unreliable narrator

Considering the context, it does mean its weaker than it should be. Normal LLT would have just wasted both Ren and Marie with no problem. They even compare Trifa's LLT to Rein's and states that the latter would have led to a sure hit

In any case, you can't use the scene to argue against Reinhard LLT as it varies from Trifa and the scene itself explains why Ren did not only get pierced by LLT but also that had Kemono-dono being the one to use it, he wouldn't have missed. Anyone trying to use that against Rein's LLT is just basically downplaying

LLT is manifestation of Merc desire for death. That on its own is enough as 1-A proof. Other shit like Gladsheimr being capable of blocking Merc hadou of mercury, release soul from Deja vu and various other feats/descriptions only serve as further proof to the legitimacy of 1-A spear
