There is a massive calc error regarding “Ten Tails can destroy a nation calc” This thread is not about content revision or even challenging the calc method, just fixing the mathematical errors within said calc.
The accepted calc method goes like this:
Im gonna use japans elevation for narutos.
calc is based of this calc
V: Land area x Elevation
V: 1,000,000*438=438,000,000
Cm: 438,000,000 x 1,000,000=4.38×10¹⁴
Using rock vaporization
4.38e14 x 25,700=1.126×10¹⁹ or 2.69 Gigatons of TNT|High 7A Large Mountain Level
However even just looking at the final result you can already tell someone is incredibly off based off the statement of how it’s VAPOURIZING A COUNTRY, with the model being used a supersized country similar in size to australia. Upon further investigation I saw where the mistake was made.
the calc uses the diameter of the land of fire which is 1000km (the accepted one is closer to 3000km but bare with me for the sake of argument) as area of the land instead of the diameter.
A circle with an area of 1000km has a radius of ≈18km, Much smaller than Konoha let alone the Entire Land of Fire.
using correct formula,
Area of land=πr²
Old size= π(500km)^2 =785,398.163 km²
New size= π(1500km)^2 =7,068,583.471 km²
convert to m^2
Old size= 785398163000m^2
New size= 7.0685835e+12m^2
With that solved me can plug in the calc with the accepted formula
Elevation= 438 meters
Old size= 785398163000m^2 x 438=3.44e+14 m^3
New size= 7.0685835e+12m^2 x 438=3.096e+15 m^3
Convert to cm^3
Old size= 3.44e+20cm^3
New size= 3.096e+21cm^3
Vaporization value= 25700 j/cm^3
Old size= 8.8408e+ 24 joules or 6A or Continent Level
New size= 7.95672e+25 joules or High 6A or Multi-Continent Level
So as you can see, the mathematics in the old calc are VERY VERY wrong for the mistake of mixing up the diameter for the area.
