If it were me, I'd list Merlin more around the 7-A tier or maybe High 7-A, and he never even reaches that level of power in the entire series. That's only his implied power. But still, even 7-B or 7-A is highly superior to 8-A.

Yes. They both possess abilities and spells that ignore AP and durability, and only one is around six AP sub tiers higher than the other. The advantage is clear.Bob8999 said:

And only that same one has resistances to most of the other's abilities and barriers that block the opponent's hax from reaching him and match his AP that's six sub tiers above the opponent's.
