How good is Gildedguy's Reactive Power Level ability?

GG seems to stronger and more durable arguably, although I presume MK has far better skill and experience. not to mention MK's range advantage with flight and Sword Beams.
maybe GG? extending sword should deal with the range and GG himself is quite clever.

@EMagolor He can get pretty good powerups mid-combat, he went from being thrashed by Jade (RHG)'s fire attacks to being able to punch through and no sell them in a very short timeframe.
