Minor Red Dead Addition: The Forbidden Hot Tubs

So, there's this area in RDR2 called Cotorra Springs. It's a hydrothermal formation that was closely based on the geysers and geothermal pools found in Yellowstone National Park. If its depiction is accurate, this should be a fairly dangerous place to be in for several reasons:

Arthur, John, and RDR Online Protagonist (and the horses I guess) can stay in this area for prolonged periods of time, get blasted by geysers (only die if they go out of their way to jump inside one), or take a dip here and there (John still doesn't know how to swim, so that sucks) without suffering any ill effects. Therefore, they should gain resistance to High Temperatures, Poison, and Acid.

Edit: Adding this to the OP for clarification.
All of the information can be found in the links I put above, but to summarize:
  • Temperatures: The hot springs are typically at about 92-93°C. Steam vents can reach 135°C.
  • Gases: carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S), with recorded cases of animals succumbing to lethal doses of them.
  • Toxins: Arsenic, fluoride, antimony, and mercury. Oh, and probably a bunch of microorganisms as well.
  • Acidity: 1-2 pH, though there are also springs that are alkaline instead (not like it's any better).

This is fine, but could you potentially provide information on what gasses/toxins exactly would be present and the exact temps of the water/acidity of it? Assuming we're fine with saying Yellowstone is 1-1.

Perfect. Would be good to add to the profile justifications.

3 hours 20 minutes till grace is over. Should we consider this thread accepted?

It already is from what I'm seeing. I'm not sure how to write the justifications to include all the necessary information while also making them look good, so... It'll be nice if someone else can do that.

Maybe this?

"Able to withstand the extremely hot temperatures, highly-acidic properties as well as the numerous harmful pathogens of the waters of the geysers and geothermal pools at Carrotta Springs without any ill effect" with references being dotted after each of the characteristics leading to said links.

Huh, I recognized the gameplay footage and that seems more related to gameplay mechanics so I am unsure on.

The day and night cycle is gameplay related (sleep or otherwise).

Anyway, I have no real issues outside of concerns of gameplay footage of a player controlling Arthur or other player controlled character to stay in the Hot Springs and all because that does fell upon game mechanics territory .

I will also note there is a hunger mechanism and stamina mechanism as well in the game so there is that.
