MHW gave us that every time an Elder Dragon die, it releases an bio-energy capable of rejuvenating entire ecosystem like Coral Highlands. They should have Energy Projection and Self-Destruction upon death.

When they die, they releases a ton of Bio-energy, super charges the ecosystem like Coral Highlands to keep that ecosystem going on for hundreds of years. It creates an energy needed for ecosystem to create nutrients, and other things lifeforms needs to that place.

The bio-energy is also used to blast the new world to hell and create an entire ecosystem made out of crystals of pure energy in the everstream.
