The roteiristas keep the TDM cosmology alive(inside the comics) by drawing It and making storie, they created things such as the mauricioverso as stated before, the fact Cebolinha cold affect the art style put's him in the same level as the roteiristas, thing we alread knew from comics such cascão putting the roteirista in the comic and start writing him self or the multiple times they where kidnapped by villains
The thing here is, Cebolinhas is the one drawig the comic while still inside It instead of going out of it, yes he is sustaning the cosmology for the time he is drawing the comic just like the writers do the same when they are drawing It, when cebolinhas is beaten by monica the writers take over again to draw the last panel as he can't at the moment

All of this would be true in a standard verse, but TDM we have rules to how the plot exist in the first place, plot haxes here can be used for ap thanks to that as the plot It self is the entire cosmology inside the comics
