Mundane Solutions

Instead of wasting his time fighting a great war, Zeref would simply teleport into Fairy Tail's guild building, casually kill everyone inside via Time Stop + Death Predation combo, get Fairy Heart without any opposition, propose an alliance to Fiore (or just kill everyone, whatever), get Etherion, and nuke Acnologia. Thenm he could focus on killing the rest of the planet. On the other hand, back when Zeref still wanted to die, he would go to Tartarus, let them try to kill him, and when they all failed, he would get the E.N.D. book from Mard. Then he would just unseal E.N.D. and let it kill him.

Makarov or Laxus would use Fairy Law. Quite a few arcs would have never happened with this (looking at you, Grimoire Heart and Tartarus).

Acnologia would blitz everyone on Tenrou Island.

Accelerator would just throw some containers or big rocks at Touma and be done with it.

Frieza would casually kill everyone literally every time he transformed.

Yes, NotEvenHuman. All of these will show you what would happen if they all the courage and the producers out of the stage (not in a breaking the fourth wall manner) that this isn't how they should be thinking or fighting. And what you said would be the real story, where it's more realistic, not scripted, and it's not expectant of them to behave stupidly.

When Yammy gets his arm fixed by an Arrancar nurse, he politely said thank you to her. Instead, he punches an actual jerk. When Yammy wants to make himself smarter and more skilled, he apologizes for his stupidity and the other Espada start helping him of his obstacles. He then mastered his powers and became much smarter and was able to realistically kill Byakuya and Kenpachi.

When Menoly and Loly were taken care of Orihime, they immediately thanked her, and apologized for their own irrationality.

From what I understand (and I might be wrong), the Invisible Thing in Imagine Breaker bends fate in order to ensure that its host (Touma) survives no matter what. So Accelerator could have chucked all of the rocks he wanted. He could have injured Touma, but he would not have killed him or stopped him. Worse still, if Accelerator had torn Touma's arm off, the Invisible Thing would have creamed him.

Chi Chi, wanting her family to get rich, tells the world that Gohan saved them instead of Hercule (prior to the whole GohanXVidel thing, which adds morals to the mix, and also shows that Hercule is a good guy,)

Yes. Also, Chichi learns that she needs to help Gohan, and train herself, as she didn't fight for a while. She and Bulma, were trained by their husbands, and wished by Shenron just once to get stronger, given Senzu Beans, etc. So when some of the weaker superhuman enemies get to Earth, their wives beat them with neither Goku nor Vegeta helping them.

Here's a major cause-effect one relating to DragonBall.

Goku never...makes Gohan, due to not knowing what it is, because it's Goku. Therefore, no raging child, and they would've lost to Raditz. If not, Cell is still a thing... Namek saga would have also been all Krillin. Imagine that. Also, no Goten, and no Gotenks either.

I don't remember that being mentioned anywhere, but it's been a while since i read some of the older Toaru volumes.

But yeah, IT woud destroy Accel if he ripped Touma's arm off. Which is actually another thing that would happen, going by this thread. Accel would realise that Touma's right hand can bypass his defense and would rip it off. He would then get killed horribly by IT. Which would probably make Aleister's plan crash and burn....

Damn, Accel's presence in the series is so big that i can't even imagine how the plot would have gone if he died against Touma.

Wow. That means it'll be just him and Chichi. No children. Any events would have never occured.

When Omega in Zero's original body was regained defeated by the real Zero in a copy body, Zero and the others decided to only destroy the consciousness of Omega, and take the real body of Zero to the base. When this occured, they combine the attributes, making Zero much more powerful and didn't become a BioMedal, but rather, somebody copied his attributes and designed it into a BioMedal.

Dynamo appears and wasn't forgotten. X and Zero had to face him again. When Zero was told of his Awakening, he eventually has it (Awakening Mode and the powers with it) completely in control.

When Akuma fought against M. Bison as Shin Akuma, he made sure he is literally sent to Hell for all of his irredeemable actions. Also, Akuma didn't suffer with his glass cannon status in-game. He is just as durable in the game as he was outside of it.

When Ichigo Kurosaki fights against Aizen, he uses the Final Getsuga Tenshou and uses Mugetsu...only to have kept his powers. Ichigo had no idea what's the big deal Zangetsu kept talking about losing his Shinigami powers. Aizen is still heavily damaged as usual, and tries to attack, but is immediately sealed and didn't get to say anything whatsoever.

When Bambiette Basterbine uses Quincy: Vollstandig, she did exactly what Giselle said about her: the fights with Bambietta ends in one second. She used the Explode on their heads and that's the end of it. When she her Explode ability wasn't working on Sanji's new Bankai, she decided to intentionally bide her time until Sajin turns into a full wolf. She then nuked his body, killing him.

When Janemba's "weaksauce" weakness is known to the multiverse, nerarly every Quincy, Shinigami, Human, Saiyan, Mewman, Gem, Alien, Deity, Digimon, deliberately curse, insult and berate him, and use existing curse words, not made up ones. Janemba be would ganged up on and is rather impossible to not find someone who couldn't even accidentally insult him.

Starfire decides to kiss somebody who can speak English perfectly. She then switches from speaking perfect English to deliberately making her speeches weird, and switch again when needed. She also finds mundane things to do and avoids saying too many Tamaranean/Tamaranian words to confuse her friends. She also is more no-nonsense and responds to things more realistically.

The other Organization 13 members aren't the least convinced they can't grow hearts and are not falling for Xemnas' tricks anymore.

After a series of trial and error, Timmy wishes Vicky to be nice, and the evil bug was killed and wiped out of existence, preventing her from being an enemy in the future.

To be fair, Zero was implied to have completely destroyed his old body in order to keep the Dark Elf from letting Omega heal and fight back, since Weil was shouting something along the lines of "Do you really want to be stuck in that copy body forever?"

Well, that makes sense. Let's see: the original Bass chooses not to betray Mega Man, and sides with him on genuinely friendly terms and while still rivals, can cooperate.

When Bass.exe sees the Navi with the Dark Aura in the Undernet, he outright copies it and deliberately chooses not to destroy the Navi, and left without a word. The Navi has lucky. Mega Man inwardly thanks Bass for stopping Flame Man.exe.

Bass' transformations aren't forgotten whatsoever, and reappear to face Mega Man. Mega Man didn't ignore the fact that he can combine Beast Out Falzar and Gregar to become the strongest Beast Out form Mega Man could ever have. Mega Man even says "Not again!" after seeing Bass XX.

When Sephiroth was taken to a place, he knows his father Hojo, is intentionally trying to make him irredeemable to Cloud Strife. He chooses to face his father and explain the truth about his real mother. Sephiroth calls him a terrible example of a father.

1) Bass was explicitly designed with thought circuits to antagonize and defeat MEga Man, and doing so is his obssession in life, so I sort of doubt it.

2) I actually do remember Bass leaving the Navi alive (I might be wrong, it's been years) since he had other things to do.

3) He does pull out Gospel's head from time to time, and will even use the other Cybeast's powers in Battle Network 6.

Here another Touhou example: Instead of lazing around, Reimu decide to be serious and seriously learn the law of the universe with Yukari. Then, knowing all of that, she could used her ability to exploit the heck out of it and became the ultimate being of the Touhou multiverse. Whether or not she could climb higher than that is up to debate, and thus, not "realistic" (even though we're talking about a land that's not realistic in the first place)

What about a more realistic situation with Sephiroth when he realized that somebody in his family lied about his origins, intentionally try to make him irredeemable and want him to blossom at any cost, and more?

He did leave him alive in the original event. But in the different one, he copies it, so he has black aura with 300 HP and though it can regenerate, he prefers to use it in the direst of situations, intentionally using weaker ones.

When Tenchi Masaki sees how the situation is getting more dangerous, he decides to go screw it and gives Ryoko all of her Gems. Besides, with him being quite powerful, he tells Ryoko Hakubi to not abuse them. Ryoko sincerely agrees with Tenchi rationally.

Monaka, while strong, isn't fully realized of his power. So when Beerus wishes with the Super Shenron, he wishes Monaka to be truly as strong as Beerus envisioned him. Monaka became legitimately powerful enough to seriously hurt Goku and it's not Beerus in a costume, but the real Monaka.

Knuckles decided to keep Chaos Knuckles, not because he's arrogant or megalomaniacal, but because after the insane events going on, he uses it in dire situations.

The topic is about making the situation that happened before more realistic and well considering the possibilities of what their actions, words, thinking would have negatively caused and do things differently that would be as likely or more likely than what originally happened, resulting in what would and should truly happen.

What we listed would be what would happen is the events were much less scripted, no character-induced stupidity and no plot-induced stupidity. There will also be no outliers whatsoever, and we already made valid examples. A general example would be this: in video games' logic, the person must lose certain things for the convenience of the enemies they face, often in an unlikely or ridiculous fashion. The Mundane Solutions version negates this by letting keep them things, but not make the enemies conveniently stronger just to make them seem weaker, or adding realistic reasons why they don't have those people, things, powers with them as always.

For example, they locked them someplace in a base, the most hidden areas of their homes, some of them are recycled, intentionally destroyed, commented on and given a much better one with much more effort into them, and not just in gameplay, with various purposes. As in, for emergencies, didn't forget them, and simply get a special key they have with them, or a password only they should know.

^Or in the case of unspeakable evil sealed in the can, don't just leave the key right out in the open, or make that thing so damn easy to open in the first place.

That would be something likely to when Reimu finally decided "OK, this is real life, and I can't be just be procrastinating. Just because it's part of my character, doesn't mean it's helping me a lot."

Rick Sanchez realized right away that Evil Morty was controlling Evil Rick, and is the reason why so many Ricks in different timelimes were killed, and many Morty Smiths being kidnapped and tortured.

Gohan decides that he should train with Goku and achieve Super Saiyan Blue. Also, he undergoes his Superhero identity as the Great Super Saiyaman, and when really strong and evil criminals appeared, people are relieved that unlike Superman, he has no easily exploitable weaknesses, and is somebody they knew. Videl wonders why her husband does the Superhero identity again, but lets it slide, since she's protected as well and didn't wane in strength.

Or more like"...Huh, this is boring. Time to destroy and remake the world."

That too.

Diavolo managed to evolve his Stand, King Crimson into King Crimson Requiem. Giorno Giovanna didn't look happy and is in pure despair. The Arrow didn't get to Giorno whatsoever for to use on Gold Experience.

Zabuza trapped Kakashi.

Sakura makes Naruto kiss Sasuke (forcibly ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)), providing all the distraction Kakashi needed to Chidori Zabuza's hand that's holding the water ball. Chidori doesn't run through water like regular electricity anyway.

-

Gilgamesh is about to destroy all everyone holds dear.

Shirou insults Gilgamesh about his powers to shoot loads of long hard objects meant to pierce as compensating for something. Gilgamesh gets so angry that he strips down to his naked tattooed body, Enkidu chains on his arm included, while not noticing Saber behind him charging up Excaliblast.

-

Haruhi unknowingly has god powers.

Kyon bones Haruhi to keep her happy, saving the world in the process.

-

Most every villain in Naruto has a bad past and/or a somehow good motivation.

Naruto addresses this by opening the world's best psychiatry clinic known as 'Talk no Jutsu'.

-

The team is looking for the One Piece.

Sanji goes out and cook a two-piece Chicken meal for everyone instead.

That makes sense. Gemmysaur. Let's see...

Yoshikage Kira decides that he uses the arrow on his Stand as well, Killer Queen, evolving into Killer Queen Requiem. Since then, he forever has a quiet life.

Might as well bring up another Bleach one (since I hate the utter failure the series is in terms of tactics).

Instead of leaving Orihime on the sidelines and never letting her develop, Urahara sees the full potential in her powers and actively trains her to overcome her excessive pacifism and enormously expand the Shun Shun Rikka's range, allowing to essentially, reality warp, causality manipulate, and render her allies virtually impossible to harm or kill in addition to providing actual front-line support. Thus, Orihime gains the ability to single-handedly break the war in the heroes' favor.

When Orihime meets Tesra, he was overpowered by Orihime due to said training. Ichigo was spared from further abuse.

Sonic sends Eggman to prison. The end.
Eggman is charged with forcing robotic conversion on his victims, arson, attempted murder, and other crimes. His base is further investigated upon and dismantle, convert and for charity for benevolent uses.

When Ichigo gains his Fullbring, and completed it he hides it and spoken to Kisuke about the possibility of his Fullbring getting stolen. When Kuugo tried to steal it, Ichigo was saved by Isshin right away, and Rukia helped Ichigo regain his power sooner. Because of this, none of the Fullbringers gotten any stronger. Ichigo has both all of his Shinigami powers and all of his Fullbring intact.

When Jugram sees Nanao Ise's new spell, Hakudan Keppeki, created with Quincy Reiatsu, he asked if she taught this to anyone else. She answers with no on purpose, as a form of lying, since she taught them to the Captains.

Realizing that Sherria's Regenerationn schtick is relatively OP, she trains herself to be at the level of the other top tier slayers, like Natsu, Laxus, and Grey, and she would win every battle she's in due to attrition.

Usagi Tsukino learns that she needs to literally grow up and train hard. So she went to the Saiyan Son Goku's reality and learned how to physically destroy planets with one punch and do Saitama's exercise. She had to magically grow her hair again after going through using a adhesive blonde wig. When Sailor Moon meets her opponents again, she just kicked them and do Continuous Normal Punches, being no longer a crybaby and overcome some of her dislikes. She also worked hard and gets used to English class. She also passed her tests simply due to working and finding the right answers.

When Vegeta defeated Golden Frieza, he immediately kills him, thus finally ending his attempts of revenge against Frieza and prevent the destruction of the planet.

When Cinder was doing her thing, Pyrrha decided not to go off on a suicide mission, and stay with the guy she liked. There was no reason to go off, and was only there for Sliver Eyes and shock value.

When Mario finds particularly rare and effective items, he intentionally puts them in a treasure chest, so when he wants to get a certain mushroom, he opens a small chest with a key and gains its effects.

From Toaru: Touma accepts Acqua's offer and lets him chop his righ arm to give up IB during the arc he invades AC. Thus Invisible Thing/Dragon show up and stomp Acqua super hard, sparing Touma, the Amakusa Church and Kaori a superpowered beatdown from one of the strongest magicians in the world.

Also, Touma remembers he has exchanged numbers with Accelerator and can probably get his help while he's at AC. There's no way Accel wouldn't help him solve a serious problem given how big of a Touma fanboy he is.

From Naruto: Jiraiya tells Naruto about the Kage Bunshin trick to train during their travel. Years using that trick make it so that Naruto easily stomps Sasuke when they meet after the timeskip and allow him to bring him back to Konoha to get some therapy.

Now that I think about it, good therapy in general would solve a lot of plots.

From Bleach: When Rukia is saying goodbye to Ichigo as he loses his powers and becomes unable to see spirits, someone points the obvious: Gigais are still a thing, you can still meet and talk to each other. Alternatively, upon being approached by Ginjo promising info on his family, Ichigo goes to ask his father.

When Kisuke Urahara knows about Fullbring and everything else about Ichigo, he and Yoruichi secretly trained him and stabilize his reiatsu in how to use other Shunpo techniques and Kido, not only to damage, but as a feint.

When Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck turns back into an adult, Kisuke Urahara didn't make an armband. Instead, he makes a machine to permanently revert her back to her true self and trained her to be much stronger. She started using standard Cero, Gran Rey Cero, and in her released form, Cero Oscuras techniques. Kisuke somehow stabilized her and tamper with her soul to use Quincy techniques that cannot be taken by Yhwach's Auswahlen.

After getting his butt kicked by Nappa, Krillin wishes to be a Saiyan, or do have Saiyan biology, so Krillin is Zenkai King by the end of Namek Saga.
