Nintendo General Discussion thread

For whom it may concern, Doug Bowser announced he'll be stepping down as President of Nintendo of America by the end of the year. Thoughts on his run?
 
Someone seems to have broken the review embargo for Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and has uploaded the footage of them playing a preview version of it. The original video got taken down, but it's been reuploaded elsewhere, so beware of spoilers, I guess.

It seems quite expectable that they will stream the Direct to their Youtube channels (In multiple languages. They have multiple channels, with varying languages as well as varying regions.), as well as to their official Twitch channel.

Less than 6 hours until the Direct begins! Set your alarms! Maybe get some sleep if you need it!

Sadly, I'll be at work for it, but since it's a Partner Showcase I can keep expectations in check I feel.

Yeah, my biggest expectations are Hyrule Warriors stuff (Since it's sort of a spin-off.) & maybe new DR chapters, but there might be big stuff.

I know a lot of people were disappointed by that Partner Showcase, but I finally got a release date for The Adventures of Elliot, so I'm good. Having been playing through Octopath Traveler, I know that team in Square Enix can cook.

I know people have been clamoring for a general Direct (and TBF, we've gotten everything EXCEPT that at this point), but I won't lie... I am kinda curious about Pokopia. I've heard a LOT of good things about it from preview events.

Didn't watch the direct since I was at work, but my friend texted me saying "that was a waste of my hour" so I ain't got my hopes up for when I watch it later

Edit: Just skimmed it while on the bus and it had a sequel to wii sports resort so imo this was a good direct

I feel like this Direct was basically made for me! It was great, in my opinion.
