Osmosis Jones vs The Thing

The best thing about the Thing? It can fight a very wide range of characters.

Fight takes place in Frank Detorre. Ozzy has just found a single Thing cell trying to assimilate another WBC cop. After fireing a few rounds, the Thing cell and the WBC cop are seperated and the fight begins.

I have no idea how this will go, but we might as well try.

Ozzy

Thing cell

I mean, with the full body, from a cell.

Wouldn't it start assimilating everything around them, and eventually just overtake frank?

Although Ozzy might have a shot if he opens with shooting it and lands a hit.

The Thing reproduces to fast and can hide itself. It overpowers Ozzy in no time.
I mean, considering it's only a few micrometers away from Ozzy, he can pop a cap in it before it reproduces once.

IDK how fast its cells divide, but the fastest bacterial cell division takes like 10 minutes. Human cells can take 8-10 hours at the absolute fastest.

Couple hours at the least. As the Thing cell divides and assimilates more cells the process is exponential.

So the first divide should take some time, then. I might be able to see how fast it assimilated humans from a single cell. I'll do the math and come back.

Okay, so the base 2 log of 37.2 trillion (number of cells in the body) is around 45, so the thing divides/assimalates a cell 45 times in, let's say, 2 hrs.

That's around 2.5 divisions a minute. So Osmosis gets a good 20 seconds + to fight with one cell before it assimalates another and so on.

I can't remember why I abandoned this, but I figure I should correct the timeframe I gave earlier. It's under an hour to mostly assimilate a human body. I have no idea why I said a couple hours before.
