Powers & Abilities Evaluations Thread

I'm sorry, but that's quite litterally textbook definition of restoration.

"Restoration is an ability that enables individuals to repair and reconstruct objects that have been broken or destroyed."
Restoration is too broad of an ability. That description can fit a plethora of other abilities. Depending how this character restored the sword, it could even be time rewinding on a local level

Which of these are corruption and what type?

1)
There existed a phenomenon known as overcompensation. When one attempted muscle training, their muscles actually tore, and the body simply regrew them a bit stronger to overcompensate. And that same thing was happening to Hajime.

A monster’s meat was poison to humans. Because of the mana crystals distilled into their blood, a monster’s specialized organs allowed them to directly interface with magic, and give them superior physical strength. The mana that circulated through monsters affected even their bones and muscles

This transformed mana allowed monsters to use magic without incantations or magic circles, though no one knew exactly how. Regardless of the particulars, a monster’s mana was poison to humans, and killed any who tried to ingest it. It would eat a person away from the inside, destroying their very cells.

There were people who had tried to eat monsters in the past and they had all, without exception, died. In fact, Hajime had read all about this, but his extreme hunger had led him to forget.

Had Hajime just eaten the wolf’s flesh, he would have died an agonizing, but swift death. But there had been something that prevented that. And that was the Ambrosia. It healed him every time his body was destroyed. As a result, his body was forced to evolve at an unnaturally rapid pace.
2)
At the same time, the bloody wind that was blowing violently in hell――that which was called as “the wind of lamentation”, seemed usable to form a transient flesh body which was centered on the soul.

Although, in the first place, “hell” was a world that wasn’t suitable for people with a flesh body to continue to exist. Thus, just like how those ghoul-like things looked like that, the flesh body there was constantly incomplete and ugly. As for their ability to think, people whose soul was of particularly fine quality when they were human would have it to a certain degree, but normal people were only able to act instinctually.

「That is the reason why they are trying to descend into this world. If they are able to materialize on Earth, they will be able to maintain a definite flesh body. Like that, naturally, the rank of their soul will rise, and they will be able to take back their thinking ability.」
3)
According to her, more than five thousand years ago, it suddenly appeared in this planet.

Something that produced unlimited miasma. Even if she wanted to describe its form or shape, it was a repulsive and indefinite existence that transformed every time it was witnessed.

Foltina and the people at that time called it “calamity”.

The miasma of the “calamity” that remained at the corner of this continent swallowed the surrounding countries and vegetations and animals that existed at that time in the blink of eye, changing them into monsters that only had madness and battle instinct.

A war between living things that were violated by miasma and normal living creatures began. Even if a living creature wasn’t killed directly, miasma spread rampantly just from those violated beings staying in the battlefield, creating new monsters from there.

Seeing the monsters proliferating in geometric progression like that, they became called with the name “infected species”.

I guess you are right, but I think Restoration is the simplest answer to this, since fixing objects is basically all it is, apart from the immaterial stuff. Matter Manipulation, in contrast, is too broad, you can quite litterally do aything in a physical scale with something like that.

This is just being poisonous.
There is also this
“Also, it seems monsters aren’t monsters because they have mana crystals inside them. That’s kind of a surprise.”
Like Shea had said, it wasn’t mana crystals that turned regular animals into monsters. In fact, it was the other way around.
Once a creature had absorbed enough mana to turn into a monster, the mana solidified into a mana crystal.
mana corrupt while mana crystal is poisonous .

This seems like Avatar Creation
In Hell, the "wind of lamentation" constantly destroy their physical body and corrupt their soul by changing its shape ,and cause them to lose their sanity. That's why when they travel to earth they will be able to heal their body and regain their sanity.

both spritual and physical body are being corrupted.
This does look like corruption, corruption Type 2 since the actual bearer of this ability is the "Calamity"
It's more potent.

Is this enough proof for a Black Hole?

A Black Hole is celestial body similar to grandmist energy, capable of crushing stars and swathe regions of space. It is an extremely dense form of mass that could even warp the laws itself.A black hole was the most terrifying celestial body in the universe. There was almost nothing that could destroy a black hole. If a black hole fell into a sun, it would eventually swallow that sun, ultimately causing an unimaginable explosion!

A black hole was formed from a cyclone of matter, slowly condensing into a large celestial body. Then, it would burn, igniting all elements and becoming a star. Over an immeasurable amount of time, this star would slowly burn out until the moment it finally collapsed under its own gravity, when it would form a black hole.

Black holes were formed from the death of stars and were one of the most terrifying types of celestial bodies to exist in the universe. They were condensed from the overwhelming might of the Heavenly Dao Laws and even an Empyrean wouldn’t be able to come out if they entered.
The truth was that a black hole wasn’t black, but rather ‘invisible’. A black hole had the ability to swallow all matter and all energy. Even a Divine Realm Holy Lord would perish if they accidently strayed into it. If light were projected inside, that light would also be swallowed up. And because its force field was too powerful, it would cause all light passing around it to distort. Anything hiding in that distorted light would be invisible.

What power is this?
The first two Dao Palaces of the Nine Stars of the Dao Palace – Heavenly Retribution and Purple Temple.

Of them, the function of the Heavenly Retribution Dao Palace was to use the body of a martial artist as a medium to commune with the heavens and earth.

The body was a microcosm unto itself and could correspond to stars in the universe. In the boundless world, the so-called power of heavenly retribution was ultimately the strength of the Heavenly Dao.

After the Heavenly Retribution Dao Palace opened, a martial artist could use the Heavenly Retribution Dao Palace as a communication medium to allow the body to bear the power of the heavens and earth!

No matter how powerful one’s mortal body was, how powerful could it be? Even royal God Beasts could only compare to extreme Empyreans.

But the power of the heavens and earth was different. Their power could be described in an infinitely varied number of ways.

For instance, when a star exploded and a black hole was formed, this was a strength that would even suck in an Empyrean and turn them into nothing.

Of course, with Lin Ming’s current strength wanting to simulate such a strength was far from possible. He still had a long road ahead of him.

“Power of the heavens and earth…”

Lin Ming gripped his fists, feeling the Heavenly Retribution Dao Palace in his body communing with the heavens and earth, absorbing the surging energy within the world. This sort of feeling was the legendary union with the world.

To have the heavens and earth stand on the same level as the mortal body; when Lin Ming’s cultivation reached the peak, fighting with him would be tantamount to fighting against the entirety of the heavens and earth!

When a martial artist’s body transformation technique stepped from the Eight Inner Hidden Gates into the Nine Stars of the Dao Palace, the truth was that this was essentially equal to finishing cultivating the mortal body and instead beginning to cultivate the Laws of the Nine Stars.

The Nine Star Laws were one of the 33 Heavenly Dao Laws. If they hadn’t been sealed because of some unknown reason, they wouldn’t be much worse than the saint race’s body transformation technique. They would only be a bit more difficult to cultivate.

The origin of the Heavenly Retribution Dao Palace’s strength came not from a martial artist’s body but from the momentum of the heavens and earth. Thus, no matter how long a battle was, a martial artist wouldn’t overdraw their physical strength. This was one of the reasons why the Nine Stars of the Dao Palace was so formidable!

Would this grant anything special to souls? AE or smth? The primordial spirit is basically their new soul.
Normally, after this process, cultivators would
gather the power of Good fortune in their flame to shape their soul into a human form that resembled them. They will gather all their memories, emotions, ideas, philosophies, and spirit and combines them with the soul and the power of Good fortune to sublimate it into something new, something better: the
Primordial Spirit. And this is not a simple process- especially when it comes to emotion.
A cultivator has to be very in touch with their
emotions, completely analyzed and understand them for the process to be successful. And this requires a very bright and pure spirit-which was tempered in the
Divine Body Realm.

Good to hear. Then, what about this?:

As his body began to contain properties of
nothingness, he discovered that he was slowly fading away, turning into nothingness itself. After all, his fleshly body is considered "something," so how could it exist as "nothingness."
This itself is a paradox. If Wang Wei wants to have the power of nothingness, he has to find a way to enter a state of both nothingness and existence, like the quantum supposition state. Unfortunately, his current ability does not allow this.
So, at the last minute, before forever turning into nothingness, forever becoming non-existent, he divided the State of Nothingness into four: Intangible, Void, Emptiness, and True Nothingness.
This split decision saved him from being completely obligated by his own enlightenment.
As he felt the power granted to him by the Intangible state of his body, he rapidly pondered on how to make good use of it. His new state granted him the power of Intangibility, meaning he was untouched by all forces in the natural world, including the power of Laws that governed the known universe.
The problem with this is that this "intangiblility" is granted by nonexistence power, and made him untouched by everything in the world. The thing is, do we consider this NEP, or just normal intangibility? The verse already has souls, elemental intangibility, etc... and they all can be interacted with, but not this. He got this by touching upon the concept of nonexistence.

Yeah this is probably multilocation via certain types of nep.
Type 1 - Incorporeal Presence: Those whose incorporeal essence dwells in many places at once, covering an area of variable size. This type encompasses intangible entities related to the material plane, such as those made of energy or magic, and beings that are entirely spiritual or abstract. Such characters can be associated to a specific concept, object or place, with which they have a strong relationship, but it's also totally possible for them to not have clear boundaries.

Yooo, journey of fate defying emperor??

I will help you scale this.

Alrighty, now for another thing;
In front of Di Tian, he punched: World Breaking Fist.

The vibration came from his skin, muscles, bones, organs, tissues, cells, and even the hundred million spirit particles of his Primordial Spirit. On top of that, he even controlled many of the strings that made the River of Fate to also vibrate, thus bringing this attack to an even higher level.

This current attack is the perfect combination of Wang Wei's fleshly body and his cultivation level. He was confident that only a few Quasi-Emperor in the Myriad Emperor World could survive this attack.

After he made that punch, in just an instant, five Realms of the Heavenly Abode Realm–larger than any mortal universes–were instantly destroyed. The vibration destroyed all matter at a quantum level. This attack did not even spare the concept that existed in these realms as they were also annihilated.
It was stated that he destroy all matter at a Quantum level, I assume this is enough for Matter Manip (Quantum), Vibration Manip, and Concept Manip?

Question about Acausality type 5. If there is a system of causality in a universe where the person is at, and said person is completely unbound by it, with it stating things cannot effect him due to him being unbound by cause and effect. However, in a higher dimension/world, there exists a higher system of causality that binds him. Can we assume the character has type 5 acausality in a normal world?

@EL_xWatcher1234x Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor. Story is pretty good, and the verse is quite haxxy, like fate haxing dudes who are Acausal type 4 and beyond normal type 4.

What abilities are shown here ?
The mist that was starting to cover the surrounding area was terribly annoying.

『Bad visibility. Focus with heat detection.』

It sent transmission to its subordinates. It also sent situation report to the other squads.

Then,

『Bad visibility……unable to confirm. Squad four, report in detail.』

After such communication came from other squad……

The sword soldier that was the commander of squad four instantly fell into confusion.

Because it was this clear even through the mist――

『! Enemy attack――』

Before it could finish speaking, gunshots resounded consecutively inside the mist. There was also a loud explosion sound following it.

Its heat sensor didn’t detect anything. Its other sensors were also the same. It connected its communication channel with the squad that was deployed ahead and asked for confirmation.

But only noises came back. The communication from other squads had also been cut off when it came back to its senses. Its communication link to its subordinates was also not working.

It finally noticed then. This mist wasn’t just a mist. It was the jamming from the enemies. Most likely they used smoke grenade that was filled with metal fragments to reflect the radio wave irregularly.

Would the tree's withering here be considered a form of death manipulation or biological manipulation?

What would we classify this ability as?:

Basically, a character is a normal human size, but the inside of his body is large af, to the point of having a black hole larger than the universe inside of him (straight up said that the black hole he made inside of him is larger than a universe), as well as other shenanigans.

pocket reality manip

Btw, would this classify as an ability:

In the verse, there are dudes who are acausal type 4 and act on a higher system of causality. However, although their future isn't set in stone since there are infinite possiblities, there are things called "Nexus of Fate", an event which will always happen regardless of what you do (Unless you have high level fate stuff or have dudes who are pretty much above fate).

Would this qualify as Fate manip for the characters, since that means they cannot die unless that event happened?

It reminds me of Doctor Who, there are infinite possiblities however there are fixed points created by the Time Lords (The guys who made cause and effect have sense), even Acasualty beings cannot mess with the fixed points, since sabotaging it can bring different results

However, this is case by case, since something that is written in time does not happen can result in a mechanism in the verse.

Example: When someone sabotaged a fixed point in time within Doctor Who; the universe began to collapse, at another point a beast that hunts those who create paradoxes appears, literally the universe forces you not to do it, the fixed point dude is essentially immortal due to a paradox, and then there is the fact that an alternative timeline is created where sabotage does not happen.

Based on what I know, the verse has a lot of luck and fate shenanigans, where things don't go according to plan or the logical thing that is supposed to happen. Characters either become dumb and don't kill the dude, or they rant and let him gain time, or there is someone powerful that appears to help, etc etc...

Basically, the world itself screws everything around the person trying to kill you and makes it so that you survive (At least that's what I assume, since a bunch of other similar shenanigans and direct statements of the universe itself doing stuff). There's also the fact that the MC tried to evade this Nexus of Fate, but no matter what simulation he did (Has the power to do numerous simulations), he kept dying over and over again regardless of what he did. Once he made a small mistake which caused him his life, other time he died due to his closed ones betraying him since the universe manipulated them, etc...

Basically, no matter what you do, the universe makes sure the event happens.

Yeah that happen in DW, That's why I find it so similar, in fact the only way to avoid a fixed point without screwing up the universe is because The Doctor sacrificed an android clone (Cuz the doctor have to died) and no one knew that apart from him and his wife, Even races with the knowledge of all futures noticed that the doctor met his dead fixed point without actually dying.

How do you classify the ability that certain magical weapons have to act independently of their user, and defend them as if they have minds of their own?
