Question Bout Passives

Just confirming what we consider passives, so do any of these qualify?

  1. Aura, like someone's aura, inflicts instant death. Does any mention of a person's aura doing something make it immediately passive? Or does it need to be said to constantly be active or passive? Does a character withholding their aura in order to not hurt someone not make it passive? Or just not immediately used in a vs match-up. So basically, as long as a character doesn't need to think or activate their aura's abilities its passive?
  2. Is someones attacks always having an effect a passive? Like a character's every attack inflicts madness, would they have passive madness manipulation?
  3. If the power of attacks are reduced or absorbed when hitting a character's body, would they have passive damage reduction and absorption? As long as it's a constant effect.
  4. If a character can indefinitely keep active and is said to, a forcefield or any other hax, would it be passive?

A passive ability is a power or trait that works automatically without the character needing to consciously activate it. It’s basically "always on" (or triggers on its own under certain conditions) rather than something the character chooses to use like a special move.

One of the example might be
A: How is that person doesn't remember you?
B: From now on, whenever someone notice me, their memory of me will automatically erased, making them completely forgot about me as if i was never existed to begin with.
Now that is passive memory manipulation because this B person can erase someone's memory just by notice at them.

I will work under the assumption of SBA, however, things might change when you go outside of it

3 and 4 are a definite "Yes". As long as the character has the ability active always/almost always, it counts

2 is a definite "No". Would my light attack give me "Passive Light Manipulation"? No, it's just the nature of the attack and doesn't give anything to myself

1 is a bit complicated

It should be said/shown so. Or at least have some sort of showing and a literal 0 of anti-feats
Does a character withholding their aura in order to not hurt someone not make it passive?
Depends in what situation this happened.
If it's the character withholding their aura in their everyday life most of the time - not passive
If it's just a single special exception made for a specific person - passive
Or just not immediately used in a vs match-up.
Yeah, non-passive/restrained auras are just not instant
So basically, as long as a character doesn't need to think or activate their aura's abilities its passive?
Basically yes. As long as there isn't something sort of Instinctive Action involved of course

Something elemental doesn't really fit in with what I'm saying. My example with madness manipulation is clearer: a character's every attack, physical or non-physical, inflicts madness. And it's a constant ability, so they don't coat their attacks with madness, it's already passively applied.

Still no. It has to be applied to others even without any action from the character

Its better to just ask a mod on their message wall, the questions and answers seems to just be for the community to respond
