He gains it, yes. But to say it'd happen as fast as the moment he gets one shotted is not something i see at all.

The speed wouldn't matter, he'd still receive the divine protection and revive. What ability would even let him punch out the divine protection? Purification? God's influence is not at all comparable to an omnipresent existence like Od Lagna, he'd need to be brought outside of its jurisdiction for it to even work as a hypothetical. Not to mention Saitama has no way of knowing about divine protections or which ones do what.

But again, it wouldn't even reach that point since Saitama is absurdly outmatched both at a distance and in cqc. He's fatally slashed with the Dragon Sword and that's that.
