Matt Cordell was unable to stand up after the explosion. After being taken to the morgue, only his hand moved there.
However, it is very clear that Matt Cordell was incapacitated for a long time by the explosion. By the time the ambulance arrives at that location and Matt Cordell is taken to the morgue, at least 1 hour must have passed. Because all of this cannot happen within 10 minutes. The ambulance arriving at the scene, then him being taken to the hospital morgue, and so on. So we can say that Matt Cordell was unconscious for at least 1 hour or more due to the effects of the explosion. That's a very long time.
The reason Matt Cordell survived the explosion is entirely due to his immortality.

Additionally, I opened a content revision to argue that the explosion in Halloween 2 should not be considered a durability event, and there they objected to completely removing his durability because Michael Myers was at least able to stay on his feet for a bit after the explosion. But here the situation is completely different. Matt Cordell passes out after the explosion and doesn't wake up until he's taken to the hospital morgue, and it's very clear that a significant amount of time has passed. And we can't say that Matt Cordell wakes up immediately after being taken to the morgue.

As for the damage he took, Matt Cordell's body is not shown. So we cannot comment on whether he took damage or not. The fact that Matt Cordell is unscathed after burning in fire for a long time does not mean he did not take damage from the explosion. Because this is entirely Fire Resistance. Not Blunt Durability. Matt Cordell does not take damage from fire because he is fire-resistant. Therefore, we cannot say that he will emerge completely unscathed from a major explosion.

Immortality
Immortality is the ability to simply not die by natural means for any number of reasons, ranging from simply having no limit to your lifespan, being able to regenerate from wounds that would normally be lethal, or being protected by a higher being, among other possible reasons. It should be...

Halloween 2 Explosion Not to Be Taken as Durability.
I suggest removing the explosion from Michael Myers' profile in Halloween 2. Because Michael Myers passes out after the explosion, and even 10 years later, the wounds on his body are still extremely visible. So there's nothing to suggest he tanked the explosion. He may have fallen into a coma...

Resistance
Resistance is the power to withstand the effects of certain abilities through varying means. Of course, simple resistance to one showing of an ability isn't enough to ignore all uses of that ability, as some applications may be far stronger, while others may work differently, meaning they must...
