Yep, Persona vs Elder Scrolls. The latest big name RPG protag takes on the OG Elder Scrolls protag.

Speed is equalised. Both are high 4-C, standard battle assumptions otherwise.

Joker - 0

Champion - 7

Inconclusive - 0

Do personas equalize as magic?

At the very least the ET's passive Silencing would disable most skills barring Ren just capping him with firearms/physical attacks. That or Shalidor's Mirror would send any magic-based skills right back at Ren unless Almighty attacks bypass that (I think they do).

That said the skillsets for each are surprisingly similar. Both Ren and the ET have curses that can dehabilitate and alter mindsets, as well as the capacity to remove/dispell said curses. Ren has a wider range of elemental attacks, although the ET has a better range of resistances.

IMO the ET narrowly takes this. Ren would have to start off with an Almighty attack to really get the jump on the ET, and that's assuming he can get past the ET's passive invisibility (which is possible due to AoE but still). Meanwhile the Eternal Champion nulls magic that could save Ren from his various curses and spells, leaving Ren pretty wide open to attack.
