RWBY characters with competitive teams.

What if the RWBY world was filled with pokemon instead of grimm? How would the Vytal Festival Tournament have turned out if it was fought with Pokemon instead of their weapons and what would thier teams consist of competitively?

Well Nora Valkyrie would have a Pikachu no doubt. I would say Yang would have a Charzard but apparently Charzard's aren't dragon types.....

So do you think they would use the same strategy based on their fighting styles? Like Ruby using a high speed glass cannon team and Blake using an accuracy reducing team?

I think that the students would come up with battle formations in conjunction with the pokemon. So the team attacks like ladybug and freezer burn will evolve to have Pokemon too.

I am talking about battles like in the games without the trainers fighting, unless I misinterpreted what you said.
