So I just consulted the wiki.
It doesn't seem like having the shape changed causes loss of mystery, it's when the object is broken.
Additionally, now that I recall, Ragyo's blades were shaped and directly given to her by The Primordial itself, and she said those blades were made in the same fashion as the scissor blades, so I'm pretty sure Ryuko's weapons would indeed have some mystery behind them due to their origins. Not much though, because they're fairly recent creations.

Ragyo's swords werent given to her by the Primordial Life Fiber, theyre just made of fibers from it

She reaches directly into the Life Fiber itself and drags the blades out of it, which had never been seen up until that point. It's never stated whether they were actually forged/sewn/whatever or if the Primordial just gave them to her in order to defend it. All it says is that they're made from Life Fibers.
