Akuma senses great power within Guy and forces him to fight him 'at full strength', otherwise he'll hunt down Rock Lee and make him fight. Might Guy opens the Seventh Gate, not wanting to die to beat some rando, and Akuma goes into his Shin form.

• Speed is equalized.
• They are both using their 7-A keys (that being the Seventh Gate and Shin Akuma, respectively).

Oh, good catch. In any case, it's questionable how often or how much Akuma uses this hax and if it could be dodged or not so there's still a fight.

It's pretty in-character for Akuma to use the Shun Goku Satsu, especially to finish off his opponent, and sometimes he has even performed it at the beginning of a fight (like against M. Bison in SF2 and Gouken in SF4), but only if he really dislikes them.

Anyway, I will analyze this more in depth once I have time.
