Sockpuppet troll invasions

I just had to block 27 newly created sockpuppet accounts, that seemed to prepare a trolling, or possibly vandalism, raid on the wiki.

If you notice lots of suspicious accounts created simultaneously in the recent changes page, or new users log, I would appreciate help with permanently blocking them all to be on the safe side, and avoid much greater problems later on.

Please check all of the block options (except the one for monitoring the talk page in question), while doing so.

This happened earlier in chat. 3 people came in just to spam and troll it and me, Ryu, Matt, and Blue had to ban them.

I also did this to two accounts of the user i had to deal with a few days back.

If anything, i would appreciate any admins of our staff to look into them every now and then and block them off permanently as Antvasima said.

If all of them are created within 15-20 minutes, and have similar names to boot, I think that it is a safe bet.

Absolutely agree with Antvasima there, Lina. Granted i did check the account creation feed earlier and saw them, i just didn't think enough to ban them.

So yes, we should spam ban those accounts if they similar names and are made in a short amount of time.
